I am writing a review on Halyna who works part time at the restaurant in the hotel during breakfast. Halyna is a consummate professional looking after hotel guests to ann extremely high standard and going over and beyond her role and responsibilities. She always takes time to get yo know you and your preferences and remembers them for your next visit. She is prompt in her service and will always check in with you to ensure you have everything you need. It is always refreshing to see hotel staff making such a concerted effort to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is smooth without any hiccups. Thank you Halyna as always for your support and looking after me so well every time I visit the hotel.
I had a wonderful breakfast experience during my stay. Sho, Cristina, and Alejandro were all exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive. Their warm welcome and amazing smiles immediately brightened my morning and made me feel valued as a guest. They were always happy to help and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout breakfast. Their positive attitude and excellent customer service made the experience truly memorable. Thank you to Sho, Cristina, and Alejandro for making my stay even more enjoyable.
I stay here for work 3-5x per year and always have a nice stay - modern hotel, with good amenities etc. this trip my kids were along. We inquired about a walking tour for them. Unfortunately, I was working and they needed an adult with them. The head concierge, Mouchi, generously offer to accompany them in the afternoon of the following day (his off day.). So grateful to him for proving this level of service - the kids had a great experience, seeing many impactful locations, and it was enabled by his generosity with his time. Thank you for going above and beyond!
I had breakfast at the Mosaic restaurant. Food and the service were good. Mehrigul, Yared, Cristina and Alejandro always had a smile on their faces.
Had an amazing lunch at the Mosaic restaurant. Enjoyed our spa bundle lunch and the fantastic service from Alejandro! He was very friendly, polite and professional. He was also very helpful with suggestions for the rest of our stay in London! As well as made my 1st anniversary with my girlfriend very memorable. His colleagues Yared, Mehrigul and Shok, also made our experience very welcoming and pleasant! Definitely would come back and recommend the Westin London! Thank you to the wonderful team!
We have had a great time staying in the hotel, customer service and care was great and staff had an attention for details.
Hotel is located in the great spot just in comfortable reach of all major attractions, we definitely appreciated that.
The breakfast was wonderful. Such a great selection. Cristina was our server and she was so helpful about offering suggestions on what to do. We can’t wait to see her again tomorrow morning!
During our stay at The Westin London City, we experienced extraordinary service from all staff. Staff are kind, warm, attentive and highly polite. Everything worked perfectly from check-in to check-out. Special recognition goes to Chyngyz Concierge. My husband left his prescription sun glasses in a taxi. Chyngyz went above and beyond to hunt down the taxi driver. At the time he got the glasses we had already left for our Baltic Sea Cruise. He made a special arrangement to deliver the glasses to the hotel at Gatwick Airport for our pick up before we go back to Canada. Highly appreciate what Chyngyz has done for us!!!
The hotel is fantastic and the location is as good as it gets. Dylan and the reception team provided excellent care ahead of check-in, while Yared, Alejandro, Christina and Mehrigul ensured each breakfast was a genuine pleasure. Simply an excellent experience all round.
We had a great time at the hotel. The family room worked very well for us. Pool, jacuzzi and saunas were very nice although kids are allowed only 8-10:30 and 14-16:30. Kids also got ‘passports’ to collect stamps across the hotel and then they were able to exchange it for a toy prize, which was very nice touch. We also got scooters and helmets for them which allowed us to explore are around the river. Last but not least, we enjoyed our breakfasts at Mosaic with great service from Alejandro, Yared, Cristina and Mehrigul. Make sure to try made to order omlets, we enjoyed ours very much :)
I arrived at the Westin Spa and was warmly welcomed by Amina at reception, who was friendly and helpful in explaining the facilities and locker rooms. My treatment was exceptional, and Lina gave a great massage with the perfect amount of pressure. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
This was my second stay at The Westin London City, after previously visiting in January, and it remained a polished, comfortable and very well-located hotel. This stay was a one-night leisure visit at the end of May, booked directly using Marriott Bonvoy points.
Check-in made a very good first impression. There was a system issue, so it took a little longer than expected, but the staff member was genuinely lovely throughout. She acknowledged my Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status, offered me a drink while I waited, and then walked me to the lift while explaining the hotel’s amenities. That personal touch really stood out.
I booked a Signature Room using 68,000 points and received the Signature Room I had booked, with no upgrade. The room was spacious, cosy and well equipped, with soft lighting, Chromecast on the TV, a fridge, coffee machine, Brita carafe, plenty of USB outlets and sleep balm. The bathroom was lovely, with a rainfall shower, robe and slippers, and Westin’s White Tea amenities, which smelled great. The view was over a busy road rather than a city view, but it was still pleasant enough for people-watching.
The hotel was spotless, and the room felt very clean and well maintained. Sleep quality was mostly very good, especially the bed, which had a really comfortable mattress. The pillows were a little soft for me, although I am sure I could have requested firmer ones if I had thought of it at the time. Blackout was okay but not complete, with some light leakage. The temperature was comfortable, but the thermostat screen stayed lit at night, so I covered it to dull the light.
I did not use the restaurant, breakfast, bar, gym, pool or spa on this stay, so I cannot comment on those properly. The public areas I did see were modern, clean and cosy, especially the expansive lobby, and the lifts were all fine. I also received 500 points for not having housekeeping, which made sense on a one-night stay.
Location is a real strength. The hotel is right by Mansion House station, very central and easy to get to, which made it convenient for a leisure stay in London.
The main downside was the limited Gold Elite recognition. My status was acknowledged and a drink was offered, but there was no room upgrade. I used 68,000 points for a night that would have cost around £323, so the points value was not especially strong, although the quality of the hotel and location still made the stay enjoyable.
I would happily stay again. The Westin London City remains a spotless, modern and comfortable hotel with warm service and an excellent City location, but I would manage expectations around upgrades as a Gold Elite member.
Had a spa day at Westin - had a really relaxing massage with Lina, she was so friendly and felt so good afterwards. The receptionists Jessica and Amiala were also super friendly and helpful. The pool was quiet and had a good atmosphere too.
I had a spa day at Heavenly Spa, very wonderful experience
“Everything about my visit was great, but the team really stood out. Sho and Jean provided the best service I’ve experienced in a long time—they were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality. Thank you both for making our time there so special!”
