Fantastic hotel and first class customer service, beautiful rooms with everything that you could need. The food offerings at dinner and breakfast were delicious and very well cooked. A special mention for Jo ( She is one of the duty managers) Jo went the extra mile for us. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and the tour of the jail is really well done and informative Thank you for a lovely stay.keep up the good work.

Top quality hotel in terms of comfort and design. Very atmospheric and beautifully decorated. Weren’t there long enough to fully enjoy the facilities but would rate this hotel as top class.

L'hôtel est magnifiquement restauré tout en gardant la structure d'une prison. La chambre est très spacieuse et très bien décorée avec des murs de briques apparentes.
Le personnel est très accueillant et souriant, c'est vraiment très agréable
Le pdj est très varié et de bonne qualité et, encore une fois, le personnel est au top !
Et la cerise sur le gâteau, le parking avec 4 bornes de recharges, gratuites !!! Amazing
Petit bémol pour notre chambre (120), durant nos 2 nuits nous avons été dérangés par le bruit de bavardages intensifs jusque 1h dans la nuit.
Mais cela reste un détail face à la prestation de qualité du Bodmin Jail
The room was luxurious and comfortable. Bathroom had a wonderful bath and the toiletries were excellent. Breakfast was good. Staff were pleasant.
We arrived at 7:15 pm and couldn't get any food. I expected the restaurant to be full as it was bookable but there was no food available in the chapel bar.
We had to walk into town, 15 minutes through ugly housing estate. it didn't feel very safe.
Only found one decent place to eat which was expensive. Then 15 minutes back.
Guests should be warned they need to book the bar if they want any food. Not easy if you're not sure of arrival time.
Room service that provides some food would help.
Amazing restoration and still felt very authentic.
The staff were fabulous especially the team in the Chapel Restaurant for Breakfast. Super efficient and great service. We even commented to the Restaurant Manager how refreshing this was .
The Bodmin Jail museum experience was really great and something not to missed. Would be great if hotel guests were informed in advance that you could go with quite a good discount given on the normal admission cost .
In the champagne bar there was a large presence of fruit flies that seemed to be concentrated in the middle of the room. These were there throughout our 2 day stay .Also the seating and tables in the outside courtyard area were not very clean. Compared to the rest of the hotel this area seemed to fall short on the great standards seen in other parts of the hotel.
Great experience staying in a jail, fabulous hotel with helpful staff, great food, comfortable rooms and perfect location for exploring Cornwall.

The bar and restaurant prices were too expensive

Wunderbare Idee, ein altes Gefängnis in ein Hotel zu verwandeln.
Das Essen in der Bar war nicht besonders gut. (Wir haben das Nudelgericht gegessen.)
Kleine, schnell erfüllbare Wünsche, wie Frenchtoast konnten nicht erfüllt werden.
Obst, wie Erdbeeren und Blaubeeren wurden direkt aus der Verpackung aufgetischt.
Der Kaffee schmeckte nicht.
Kaffee aus der Maschine musste gesondert bezahlt werden.
Das Brot am Frühstücksbuffet wurde von jedermann angefasst.
Sonst war das Frühstück sehr gut.
Fantastic building conversation, lots of original exposed features. The rooms are large, comfortable and immaculately clean. Dinner in The Chapel restaurant was superb although booking to eat in either the bar or restaurant is a must as they are both popular.
Unfortunately the breakfast on Sunday took 45 minutes to be served and mine was absolutely stone cold. Reception will ask you to book your breakfast time so please do, if you arrive unexpectedly you will cause delays to everyone else.
All brilliant but expensive
Staff were very cheerful and helpful, it has been transformed into a luxury hotel, but kept features of the old jail as i knew it growing up in bodmin.
The bed was very firm for me, but thats just personal preference, apart from that I had no complaints
