Unbeatable value for money
Pros:

The value for money here is exceptionally high, especially considering it's in Kyoto. You really get a lot for what you pay. The room was very spacious, which is quite rare in Japan, and moderately comfortable, making it a great base for exploring the city.

Cons:

The hotel feels a bit overcrowded, and you can definitely tell it has a very high volume of guests. It is also heavily geared towards Western tourists. The atmosphere and amenities are so westernized that it almost feels like being in Europe rather than Japan. This is important to note if you are looking for an authentic, traditional Japanese experience.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast policy. Even if you pay for breakfast, coffee is charged separately. This leaves a bad impression. I believe most guests would much prefer a slightly higher room rate upfront rather than dealing with the unpleasantness of paying for coffee at the end of every single breakfast.

Ein rundum tolles Hotel in bester Lage. Das Gion-Viertel ist gleich um die Ecke, U-Bahn ca. 300m entfernt. Super Rooftop Bar mit Ausblick auf die Pagode.

Pros:

The room was so big and spacious which is different for Japan! The bed was also massive and soooo comfy. There is a bath and shower and both are also super spacious. We used the gym and washing machine services, both were good.

L’hôtel NOHGA est très bien situé, près du quartier de Gion, du Temple de l’eau, d’une station de taxi et d’arrêts de bus. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais très bien équipées et très confortables. Modernes.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner vraiment excellent. Il
Y a un café avec des snacks sucrés / salés, top pour un petit en-cas. Le roof top pour prendre un verre ou grignoter quand on la flemme de ressortir est top.
