Friendly staff. Quiet clean room with everything we needed. Great city location, easy to walk around the city and within easy distance of public transport. Good for one or two night city break. Breakfast was grand.
The hotel is set across two/three buildings so took us two separate lifts and a maze of corridors to get to our room.

This is my third time staying here (all deluxe doubles). First 2 stays the room was spacious with a desk, chairs and a good sized bathroom. Good experience, so stayed again. This time however the room was much smaller and so not as comfortable for 2 people also with less amenities. However very comfortable bed was very comfortable.
Lack of consistency in rooms. £200 for 1 night, we were right at top of hotel in a small corner room (level 9). Toilet seat broken, 1 toilet roll, no desk, no fridge, very small and cramped. If I hadn't already stayed and had much nicer rooms I would not recommend this for the price.
I tried to call reception, but no answer.
My husband and I are IHG members, and usually stay with IHG when traveling. Coming to see Christopher Cross concert, I chose Clayton for its location. We are not disappointed, the hotel check in staff is friendly, the food and drink venues near the hotel, and the general location is great for shopping and eating!
A great choice, highly recommended!
