Black Diamond Hotel

If you’d like to ruin your vacation in this beautiful city, this hotel is the perfect place to start. The staff seemed indifferent to guests’ concerns, and the overall experience was deeply disappointing. What should have been a relaxing stay turned into a frustrating and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.
Here is a summary of the unacceptable events:
1 No Air Conditioning for Two Nights: For the first two nights of our stay, the air conditioning in our room was completely broken.
2 Refusal to Provide Solutions or a Refund: We repeatedly requested to change rooms, but the staff claimed the hotel was fully booked. When we requested a full refund so we could check out and find another hotel, the management flatly refused, dragging the situation out and leaving us stranded in intolerable room conditions.
3 Broken Promises and Deception: On the third and final night, after an attempted "repair" failed yet again, the hotel finally moved us to another room. The management explicitly promised us a refund if the issue persisted (which it did).
4 False Accusations: Instead of honoring their word, the hotel management has now completely deflected responsibility. They are falsely accusing us of breaking the air conditioning and are refusing to issue the promised refund.

Truly overpriced hotel and not capable for the stars they show. The jacuzzi water was cold, uncomfortable music during night at the hall, the location zone is like bazaar.

We stayed at Hotel Black Diamond in Tirana after arriving around 1 a.m. following a long drive from Sarandë. The receptionist on the night shift was polite and welcoming, which we appreciated after such a tiring journey.

Unfortunately, the main issue was that the air conditioning in the room was not working. I went back downstairs shortly after arriving, and the receptionist attempted to activate it centrally from reception, but it still would not turn on in the room. As a result, we had a very uncomfortable night’s sleep, which was especially frustrating given the late arrival and the expectation that basic facilities such as air conditioning would function properly.

The following morning, I requested to speak with the manager and was told this would be possible, but no manager was available, and no name or contact details were provided. Later that afternoon, when I returned to collect my car, I raised the issue again with another receptionist. She explained that the air conditioning would not work if the windows were open. My response was simply that this should have been explained to us the night before, particularly as the receptionist himself appeared unaware of the issue while trying to fix it.

What disappointed me most was not only the inconvenience itself, but the lack of ownership or genuine apology from the hotel staff. There was no attempt to rectify the situation, offer compensation, or even properly acknowledge the frustration caused. Instead, I felt dismissed and left to simply accept the poor experience.

The hotel itself may have potential, and some staff were polite, but customer service and communication in handling guest concerns need significant improvement.

Music in the corridor outside the room was clearly audible until 23:00 and from about 07:00. Complained politely at the desk, but the situation didn’t improve. Really don’t understand why some hotels play music in the room corridors. No one listens to it and if it is loud enough it disturbs guests in their rooms.

Air conditioning did not work, steam room did not work, gym was open only at 10:30am , breakfast was ok but quite limited

Das Frühstück war furchtbar. Die Zimmer waren sehr abgewohnt und sehr dreckig.

Ontbijt was een beetje te weinig keus, En de jacuzzi was koud.

Déçue de la maintenance des 2 chambres: il y'avait des coups sur les murs et les meubles, un rideau un peu décroché, manque gel douche et shampooing dans une des salles de bains bon en soit rien de bien grave mais cela ne reflète pas le niveau d'un hôtel 4 étoiles et pour le prix de la chambre on s'attend à un peu plus de qualité.

Le mini bar faisait du bruit toute la nuit ce qui rend le sommeil pas très réparateur.

We were disappointed with our stay. We chose this hotel partly because of the spa, but the hammam and jacuzzi were not working during our stay, with no real solution offered, while we still paid full price.
In addition, we booked a room for 3 people, but only 2 towels, 2 bathrobes and 2 pairs of slippers were provided. We had to ask several times, and we finally received them just before leaving, so we were unable to actually enjoy them.
It’s a shame because the hotel has potential, but the level of service did not match the price paid.

Het ontbijt viel tegen, weinig aanbod maar ook niet heel vers. Werd ook niet goed aangevuld. Rond 8 uur veel al weg

La colazione... Scarsa migliorabile per essere un 4 stella.

Zepsuta klimatyzacja, zepsute jacuzzi z zimną wodą, niezbyt czysto, za tą cenę słabo.
