The Dutch Hotel Long Island City, Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy

Terrible customer service, or rather, no customer service at all. Customer service is unhelpful. I do not recommend it.

-il wi fi non ha mai funzionato ( quindi neppure la smart TV )
-non e' mai stata cambiata la biancheria
-mai fatte le pulizie in camera
-la serratura della porta della camera era rotta e al ritorno per due sere abbiamo trovato la porta aperta, nonostante all' uscita il mattino avessimo verificato che si fosse chiusa.
-nel complesso pulizia poco curata, sebbene appena sufficiente nelle stanze.negli spazi comuni sulle terrazze era presente moltissima polvere.
-Il primo e secondo giorno abbiamo alzato la temperatura della camera e sono arrivate parecchie formiche che passavano sul pavimento dal bagno al frigorifero...eravamo alla stanza 102...piano terra.L o splendido Mark ci ha gentilmente cambiato la camera, assegnandocene una al 5 piano affacciata ad un terrazzo con splendida vista su Manhattan.

There’s no staff on site so forget about needing any quick help. I arrived, punched in my door code and found a mess, urine in the toilet, towels everywhere. Clearly it had never been cleaned after the last guest. I called and they said someone would take care of it in just a few minutes. I called every 20 minutes for an hour. No one ever showed up. Finally after some pleading they gave me a different room. The new room was fine, but the overhead light in the main room was burnt out. After asking about it more than twice, it was never repaired in my two weeks stay. I do not recommend this place

No wifi, tv doesn’t work without wifi, not fully cleaned, unable to get into the lobby until check in time. QR CODE Instructions did not work , room door not locking properly. Bed frame broken,

Es war das schlechteste Hotel, in dem ich je übernachtet habe. Bereits bei der Ankunft haben wir festgestellt, dass das Zimmer nicht gründlich gereinigt worden war – auf dem Boden lagen noch Essensreste, unter dem Bett war es sehr staubig etc.

Wir waren eine Woche im Hotel, und in dieser Zeit wurde das Zimmer nur ein einziges Mal gereinigt! Das war wirklich enttäuschend und mit Abstand die schlechteste Erfahrung, die ich bisher in einem Hotel gemacht habe.

Doch damit nicht genug: Wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen, um überhaupt saubere Handtücher sowie notwendige Dinge wie Toilettenpapier zu erhalten.

Zudem sind die Wände extrem hellhörig. Wir wurden nachts mehrfach durch Geräusche von draußen sowie aus den Nachbarzimmern geweckt.

Ich werde definitiv nicht noch einmal hier übernachten.

Dans cet hôtel il n'y a pas de réception physique, la chambre et le code d'accès sont sensés être envoyé aux clients par email, mais à 16:00 seulement.
En ce qui nous concerne, pas reçus d'email.
Pas possible de contacter le gestionnaire par WhatsApp ou email.
La chambre que nous avions réservée (avec balcon, donc vue sur Manhattan) n'était pas disponible, à 16:45 un employé de l'hotel nous a donné notre n° de chambre et le code, mais le ménage n'avait pas été fait et il n'y avait plus de chambre avec vue sur Manhattan; nous avons laissé nos bagages dans les placards de consigne sécurisés et sommes partis visiter Manhattan, lors de notre retour à l'hôtel, la chambre avait été nettoyée.

Das WLAN hat die meiste Zeit im Zimmer schlecht funktioniert. Wie in vielen Bewertungen bereits erwähnt, trifft man im Hotel, bis auf die Reinigungskräfte, keine Mitarbeiter. Für den Check in wird ein Code zugesandt, allerdings auch erst nach 16 Uhr. Nach der Check Out Zeit kommt man mit diesem Code nicht mehr ins Hotel, was sehr ungeschickt ist, wenn man darin noch sein Gepäck gelagert hat. Wir hatten Glück und ein anderer Gast konnte die Tür von innen öffnen. Zimmer werden nicht gereinigt, auf Anfrage haben wir neue Handtücher bekommen. Es gab keinen Föhn. Wenn man diese Dinge alle zuvor weiß, kann man den Aufenthalt genießen.

There was no staff onsite and AC didn't work

Everyone needs to know that there are no staff on site at the property. This is a huge problem. I arrived to a locked front door and had stand outside on the pavement and contact a remote call center and be given a code to gain entry to the building and my room. Thank goodness I got through to the call center -- everyone I met inside the hotel had their own horror story: one poor young woman arrived at night and was locked out for two hours because no one from the call center ever picked up; an Italian couple I met in the lobby were waiting in vain for a code to their room — every time they called the call center, they were told it would be texted in 5 minutes, but it had been over an hour; and the gentleman I met in the elevator was disgusted that had paid $350 for no service of any kind, and that this was not mentioned in the booking.com listing (I didn’t flag it either.) The hotel itself is basic but clean, and the rooms are a fine size. But how can they charge the rates they do and then have a call center that isn’t reliable and no one on site to address any issues?? Worst experience I’ve had at a hotel and shame on Marriott for having their name on the property. It just felt like no one cared.

My room was not cleaned from the previous guest upon check-in, there was sticky stuff on the floors, bed wasn’t made, dirt on the sheets as well as hair and crumbs. They were booked out so I couldn’t change rooms and refused to give me a refund leaving me stranded.
