A very disappointing 2nd visit to BB Sleepover, after the great stay we had there 2 years ago.
Pros:

We liked the convenience of the proximity to the border crossing. Overall cleanliness was good. The bed was very comfortable. The gardens appear neat and tidy. On arrival the staff were very friendly.

Cons:

I booked and paid for our accommodation more than two months prior to our stay and we were the only booked guests for the night. So I find it disappointing that we had to ask for toilet paper, and a kettle. The one bedside lamp had a broken switch. The blinds covering the window above the bed were broken (frame warped). There was what appeared to be a blood stain on the duvet cover and the Ozite-type carpeting on the one side of the bed was sticky/dirty. Seeing that so many units were open, it would appear that convenience (distance to walk for cleaning)for the staff makes them decide which units to allocate, but then at least ensure that all appointments are in place and serviceable. This was a very disappointing second visit Beit Bridge Sleepover.

Cons:

The coffee machine at the shop wasn't working, and they should warm visitors not to use the tap water for the kettle in the room. When I made the booking for two adults with breakfast, I was asked to pay extra for a second breakfast. I thought if you booked for two, you would automatically get two breakfasts with the booking.

Convenient location
Pros:

Location of the property is great. Right next to the border.

Cons:

There was no hot water. The lovely staff tried to assist but I still had to shower with cold water

Dirty and in need of serious maintenance
Pros:

The lodge lacks basic maintenance, no tea/coffee in the rooms. There is a kettle but it trips the electricity if you switch it on. Bathrooms are dirty and in need of repair. I have stayed at various Sleep Overs and think it's a brilliant concept, however the one at Beitbridge is disgusting in comparison to the others.
