Quiet, great location
Exceptional staff and wonderful manager
Great hotel! Our room faced the courtyard, so it didn’t get much natural light, but that was a minor issue. Overall, I’d rate our stay a 10 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again. The location was fantastic!

Location and decoration
Location is perfect. But the room I stayed courtyard view was the building view instead of courtyard. Luxury decoration. First night the bed I slept was not flat so not good sleep. they changed the bed 2nd day. But they behaved like something normal to not sleep entire night, not any compensation.
The hotel is exactly like the pictures or even better! The service and amenities 10/10 we are defenetly coming back very soon.
Perfectly central. The hotel was spotless with a chic vibe. Quiet with incredible service and phenomenal amenities. The rooms were spacious and sleekly designed. The inclusion of the mini bar with excellent drinks and snacks made it all a great value! Look forward to staying there again! The staff ALWAYS went above and beyond-highly rec!

We loved our stay at the Alest. We loved the beautiful and modern design of the hotel; it felt like a high end boutique hotel. The hotel location is fantastic... steps away from shopping, restaurants and the park. The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms are impeccably clean. The bonus is the Dyson Air Wrap set as well as the free snacks and beverages in the room. I would highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful, 5 star boutique hotel located in upscale and charming Polanco. Rooms are beautifully appointed, welcoming lobby that is spotless with amenities you find in a large 5 star hotel.....turn down service, room service , etc. and a very attentive staff. This hotel has all of the style and luxury of larger hotels but without the crowds.

The location of the hotel is very central and close by to many restaurants and places. Our room was very spacious, lots of free amenities. Good service and breakfast, would recommend.
The staff truly did their best with what they had available and were consistently very kind, this is something I really want to highlight and thank them for. The location was also good and convenient.
The main issue is that this property is not a true 5-star hotel, yet it is marketed and priced as something completely different from what it actually offers. From the website, it appears to have many facilities such as a spa and a gym, but none of these are available.
Our room had no real windows. The only openings faced the internal stairwell, which meant there was no proper air circulation, and if left open, people walking on the stairs could see directly inside. This is a very important detail that should be clearly disclosed.
Many of the so-called 5-star services felt superficial. For example, turndown service was offered, but in practice it only meant someone briefly entering to open the bed sheets, without refreshing the room or bathroom l, which is what proper turndown service should include. Concierge service was extremely basic.
The included breakfast was also extremely limited: essentially scrambled eggs or a croissant, while most items, even espresso, were charged separately. This is far from what one would expect at this category and price level.
We did not have a bad stay overall, and the room itself was nicely designed. However, I would strongly encourage the management and ownership to present the property more honestly. At present, this is a 4-star hotel rather than a true 5-star, especially considering the rates charged.
