Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo

Hotel con una arquitectura preciosa, muy buen atención, varios restaurantes muy buenos y bares, el spa también muy bueno, Si vuelvo a Panamá vuelvo al mismo hotel de todas maneras.

This place has become of my favorite hotel stays. We went to Panama to kickoff a family cruise around Latin America and the Caribbean. It was so lovely to have a nice warm welcome at the hotel. We requested a courtyard room, and we were pleasantly surprised to have an upgrade to a suite. The room was a nice size with a sofa. The biggest surprise was the size of the outside patio and the view!
The next morning, we enjoyed the buffet breakfast at El Santuario. It was a beautiful selection of food, and everything was so tasty. The grounds of the hotel are also beautiful as well, with a view of the old buildings from the original structure.
Our last morning, we ordered room service. The room service arrived a little bit late, but again, the food was delicious.
The bed in the room was comfortable, and it was also very quiet. We stayed on the Spanish side, which I would do again. We had a brief tour of the American side and also the French side, but the Spanish side seemed to suit my taste the best. We also noticed that on one day, they were doing free massages in the lobby. We also tried some empanadas from the bakery as well.
It will be a while, but I am looking forward to returning to this oasis in the middle of Casco Viejo. Thank you La Compania for a very memorable stay!

Without Exception everyone I encountered at this hotel was Customer Service Oriented. Both Concierges walked me to places to make sure I didn’t get lost. The bellman are awesome. The hotel feels safe. If you choose to stay in the hotel the entire time you would have everything that you need. There about 5 restaurants, a pool, a spa, gift shop, bakery, wine cellar, and did I mention the architecture. By all means take the architecture tour. Jamie(sp?) was my guide. He is a wealth of knowledge and very engaging and energetic. It’s a must do. Allow an hour for the tour. I enjoyed the pool and the rooftop bar. The DJ is awesome. My overall experience was positive. ****I took away 1 star for a maintenance issue that never got fully resolved during my stay. The toilet ran extremely slow/ or backed up every single day. Maintenance responded very quickly and took steps to resolve the issue but it recurred every day. This was very frustrating for me as I was celebrating my birthday. Each time maintenance came in my room I felt the need to reclean the bathroom. Again the staff was extremely apologetic but the issue wasn’t resolved. And my guess is that the plumbing issue has come up in 114 before. ****With that said, Would I visit La Compania again? Yes it’s a special place. I’d give it one more chance to prove the plumbing issue was unusual and would not happen again.

The rooms are absolutely beautiful with a balcony to enjoy the weather and company. Several restaurants and bars inside the hotel make everything so convenient. It is right downtown so you can enjoy all the shops, museums and history. The staff were professional and helpful!

Simply said: this was an amazing experience with attentive staff, a unique hotel experience, in an amazing country. My wife and I have traveled the world and I can safely say that this was one of the nicest hotel experiences we have ever had.

La belleza y armonía cultural del hotel

Beautiful hotel located in Casco Antiguo. Staff was amazing, very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and the hotel decor gives historical content. Didn’t go into the pool, but used the pool bar, the pool did look clean from where I was sitting. Would recommend overall, great experience.

Updated and very unique hotel with excellent service and great location. Much closer to legit 5 star based on US standards vs what we have experienced in other similar countries in this region.

Great location, facilities, ambiance, and staff. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Panama City. Easy walkability in the Old Town area with many excellent cafes and eating establishments nearby.

This is a very unique experience in Panama. It’s a beautiful, historic property and the service is incredible. The food, especially the breakfast, is amazing. There are many dining options on property. Panama is a very competitive market and this hotel represents the culture of Panama very well. La Compañía delivers a local, elevated experience without being stuffy. I have stayed in a few hotels in the city and this hotel stands out.
