Staff charged us for “damages” all because the towel and bed sheet was dirty after 4 days of not having our room cleaned. Stated that because they were “too dirty” they have to charge us for “damages” even though they admitted to us nothing was damaged and only dirty.

Location bad, far from anything. At check-in we were asked to leave THB 1,000 as deposition, which was a bit strange. Normally a swipe of credit card will do. But we toed the line, were given a receipt.
On day two we had our face towels replaced by house-keeping, small flannel towels about 20 x 20 cm. One of them was stained from what looked like red wine but washed and cleaned and we used it. Left on floor in room for replacement day 3.
When getting back day 3, the stained towel was left on the floor, the other one replaced. My wife caught the house keeping woman in the corridor and asked to have it replaced. The answer was no, because we had ruined it. When trying to explain that was not the case she was just ignored.
Later in the day my wife picked up a face towel from a unmanned cart in the corridor. She put it in a drawer in our room with the ambition of replacing the stained one with an unstained towel.
Day 4 upon return from the Old Town, the stained one was still in our room and the new one, which my wife had put in a drawer was gone... I told my wife they have probably booked it against our room. And yes, surely, THB 200 for a face towel had been booked against the room.
We went down to reception to explain the situation, handed the stained towel in and disputed the claim, which took about 20 mins to explain, got a receipt.
Day 5, departure day, towel removed from bill.....
I am just at lost to why this was such a big thing for the hotel. It seems like washing might have missed the stains on the towel and sent it out in circulation again and the house-keeper thought it was her responsibility to ensure that we would pay for something we had not 'destroyed'.
Not happy having our integrity questioned over a THB 10 (charge at THB 200) face towel and the fact that house-keeping rummaged through drawers were we had our personal item/belongings.....

Theme of tennis, pool and gym
Tennis lessons are expensive but only thing available, even court rentals are bit high, hitting fees are also high, group lessons are unavailable. The location by far is the worst. It’s not their fault but they’re in the middle of nowhere and there’s no food option, so marts, shops, entertainment nothing boonies. You’d have to cab out far and expensive to get anywhere. Hotel nights might be pretty cheap but nothing to do and everything else is very expensive like overcharged non alcoholic drink at the bar, they name them fancy names like cocktails but don’t mention the ingredients or that it’s a mocktail. Their light system is just weird. You can turn off the master but that switches even the ac off. Individual turning off is a nightmare. I couldn’t figure out the patio light for the life of me. Maybe it’s for them to film you… they have an annoying tv that turns on everytime you enter, it’s designed to get you to spend money ordering or something.

Houve um torneio de ténis e deixaram imensos carros entrar sem se precaverem dos clientes do hotel, ou seja, não havia lugar de estacionamento para os hóspedes ! Deveriam garantir alguns lugares aos hóspedes e evitar carros de fora entrar apenas para assistir aos jogos !
