Pros:

The hotel facilities are very nice. The staff are kind and they offer all sorts of things to do within the hotel as well.
There's a restaurant within the hotel that serves three meals a day, a tea bar where you could experience traditional Japanses tea, andthe hotel itself is beautiful and has a garden in the center. The staff help with shipping luggages to another city if that's necessary.

Cons:

The only thing that could be better is the location. In Higashiyama itself is no problem, byt the closest station is kind of far away and requires a but of a walk.

Camera molto comoda e molto ampia, tutto molto pulito, colazione buonissima sia orientale che occidentale.

Cons:

Il primo giorno della nostra permanenza siamo usciti alle 6 per una visita guidata, abbiamo chiesto di poter avere un box per la colazione o qualcosa in sostituzione, considerando che tra l’altro l’avevamo già pagata nella tariffa. La colazione comincia alle sette. Purtroppo ci è stata negata. Considerando che si tratta di un cinque stelle, ci saremmo aspettate di meglio come tante volte in altre strutture, anche di categoria inferiore.

A nice chic stay in Kyoto
Pros:

Very clean and nice hotel. The free shuttle service is so nice. The footbath is great. The breakfast was excellent.

Pros:

Excellent service, rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was wonderful. I want to make a special call out to the reception staff who went above and beyond to reunite us with some lost property, their level of customer service was exceptional.

Definitely not 5 stars
Pros:

The premises are good, and the breakfast also is good. Unfortunately I could only try it once. The personnel is helping, but not like 5 star attention and service.

Cons:

From my understanding the hotel targets American tourists and groups. Consequently it is highly overpriced from the value perspective. They only have 2 bars in the hotel, an and a little self-laundry connected with the a little gym. I also did not like dark room concept with wooden ceiling which make the room look even smaller. There are amenities in the room, however you don’t feel that everything was made for your convenience. The room itself is renovated, but I would prefer old room, but with high 5 star comfort.

Perfection!!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t have been more grateful for how accommodating the staff were. After an issue with another hotel, we needed somewhere to stay at very short notice, and they were able to help us straight away.

The hotel itself was luxurious, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and enjoy everything nearby. The service was excellent, and the whole experience turned what started as a stressful situation into a really enjoyable stay.

The Free shuttle to Kyoto station was a real bonus!!

We’re so thankful for their help and would absolutely stay here again
