The Reception people were excellent. Sophia went above and beyond helping me with the doors and windows in the room. Late checkout at 2 PM was very much appreciated and also are arranged by Sophia. Gabrielle and Annabel were also fabulous.
My wife and I stayed at The Emerald House Lisbon during our first visit to Lisbon, which was also a special trip to celebrate both my birthday and our anniversary.
The hotel’s location is very convenient. There is a bus stop just a 1-minute walk away, and the tram stop within 5 minutes, making it easy to explore the city.
Upon arrival at around noon, our room was not yet ready for check-in. However, Annabella at the front desk warmly welcomed us and kindly arranged for us to leave our luggage while we continued exploring Lisbon. When we returned in the evening, she informed us that our luggage had already been delivered to our room, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade. The room was spacious, bright, and featured a private terrace, which was perfect for enjoying Lisbon’s beautiful sunny weather. As a special touch, the hotel also prepared a birthday cake for us, making our celebration even more memorable.
The overall hotel facilities were very good. The breakfast area was comfortable and relaxing, and as the hotel was not overcrowded during our stay, everything felt spacious and enjoyable.
The only area that could be improved is housekeeping. While the room was generally clean, we noticed some signs that certain items may not have been cleaned thoroughly before our arrival. There were visible hairs on the dining table light fixture and on some of the towels, which slightly affected our first impression of the room.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would like to thank Annabella, Diana/ Daina? and the team for helping make our first trip to Lisbon such a memorable experience. With a little more attention to housekeeping details, this hotel would be close to perfect.
It was a nice hotel in a good location. The room I had was nice, as I was upgraded. The only issue was the hot water seemed to take a while to get warm/hot, other than that, no complaints. I had a minor issue with my patio door not locking but it was promptly fixed the next morning.
In closing, I'd stay there again. The staff was very personalble and excellent at what they do.
Not baby friendly
I would like to highly recommend this charming hotel in Lisbon. It is out of the real touristy zone of Lisbon and is more of a residential neighborhood which is quieter. There are many restaurants within walking distance and little coffee shops and markets. The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and there is an excellent restaurant in the lobby. The bar area has a daily happy hour with lovely snacks laid out. But where this hotel shines is the staff itself. We have never encountered the most friendly, efficient, helpful and caring staff anywhere we have traveled. I unfortunately became ill on this trip and the staff assisted me with obtaining a doctor who visited me in my room, and the guest service manager Diana came up to translate for me. After that, any staff member I encountered inquired to how I was feeling. Every staff member I met was always smiling and so helpful. We booked private tours with them and even a taxi for transport to our ship. This is probably our favorite hotel stay in all of Europe!
I had a great stay at The Emerald House, Curio Collection in Lisbon. The hotel is beautiful, very comfortable, and in a great location for exploring the city.
A special mention to Gabriel at reception and João at the bar, who were both extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. Their friendliness and professionalism really made a difference and made me feel very welcome.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!
The kindness of your staff, our waiters during the breakfast
Location is around 3km out of the centre, but it is a nice walk to the city and attractions. There are restuarants nearby and if the weather is nice you can easily walk but if its raining Bolt is very reasonable and easy to use.
Rooms are really pretty but so small, on the positive comfy beds but just such tiny rooms. No mirrors to do makeup or dry hair in bedroom had to use my phone camera.
Breakfast was really nice, and we ate on site one evening which was also tasty and good value.
Staff were ok not the friendliest.
We stayed here prior to boarding a cruise out of Lisbon. We had booked transportation from the airport through the hotel, but our flight was 11 hours late. However the front desk staff were amazing and stayed on top of it and our driver was waiting for us outside of immigration. It was a seamless experience and we would recommend that. They also coordinated a short sightseeing tour for us prior to boarding the cruise ship.
The hotel itself was clean and cute; the staff were very accommodating; and the small restaurant had delicious food (we ate breakfast and lunch there). We would definitely stay here again!
Great shower. Felt like a personal mini-spa.
Lovely decor.
Comfortable, nice sized bed.
Very nice breakfast with some uncommon options (such as the focaccias).
The room was exceptionally small with no supporting furniture to speak of (apart from the two bedside tables) - no desk, no chest of drawers, no coffee table, no chairs, nowhere where one could reasonably expect to be able to place belongings. (Had stayed previouly at the hotel, and on my previous stay the room was definitely bigger, with actual furniture. It's a luck of the draw.)
Wow, I have to say my overall experience at the Emerald was nothing short of fantastic, every single aspect was on point, and the staff really brings the place a very home feeling, one in particular, Gabriel the absolute legend that helped me get to my room, and also helped with a lot of suggestions of what to experience in Lisbon and at the hotel, absolutely recommend this place
I had an amazing time here with my wife, lovely hotel, and dont let me get started with the staff!! Everyone was great, but Gabriel was incredibly sweet and was super helpful during our stay!!
Love the experience, lovely hotel and amazing staff. Gabriel at the reception was so welcoming.
Thank you all for making my first trip to Lisbon so wonderfull !
We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2026. The service and staff were excellent. The woman at the front desk was very nice and attentive to our needs. They were kind enough to upgrade us to a suite (maybe because I booked through Amex), which was a very nice room. They also left us a piece of dessert with fruits to congratulate us on our honeymoon which was a sweet gesture. The hotel is very clean and the location is about 10-15 minute walk from the main part of the city. Overall, a great experience for us and if you don't mind walking 10 minutes to get into the main part of the city, it is a perfect hotel.
Nice hotel, almost boutique. Great decoration. The restaurant is good.
Very simple to access to the center (with Uber)
Amazing staff always wanting your stay to be pleasant. Had a great happy hour in the evening at the front lobby restaurant/bar. Would highly recommend 👌
Amazing stay at the Emerald Hotel by Hilton! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and my room was truly breathtaking. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and felt very luxurious. The location is perfect-you can easily walk to many places or use public transportation. Uber and Bolt were also very convenient and affordable for getting around. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
