Lovely hotel with decent sized rooms and situated in a good location. Only disappointed that we had to move rooms on our last night as they couldn’t accommodate single beds for our whole stay - they did make sure it was on the same floor as the rest of the family though.
Breakfast was yummy, not many hot options but they would make an omelette or fried egg if requested (scrambled would be provided on the hot trays). Lots of pastry options though!
I spent 4 lovely days at this hotel. I was initially going to stay only for one night but a change of plans caused me to arrive earlier. They were so incredibly accommodating. Sofia F. at the front desk was especially helpful. She had no idea that we had a bad snafu in our trip that caused us to rearrange our travels and arrive much earlier than anticipated. Regardless she was patient and ever so helpful. She made our trip so much better and less stressful. She was amazing!!!
The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is responsive and kind. Highly recommend!!
The location was perfect for exactly what we needed! The staff went above and beyond! I have never worked with such a friendly staff like this before. I would come back simply for them!
CLEAN - ENGAGING - LOCATION - Everything you would want in a hotel stay; plus convenient and filled with abundance. FOOD-SERVICE and CHARM! The staff were anticipatory, friendly and visible (present) We will be back! Thank you
the best friendly service and awesome breakfast
the rooms are clean
great sleep quiet and good location
good place to stay
awesome management and staff
The room was great, bed comfortable, pillows terrible, but I think that is pretty common to Europe. Bathroom was big and spacious. Breakfast was included and sufficient with hot and cold options. Pretty good location, easy to navigate to different areas of Lisbon with bused pretty much outside the front door and a trams and trains down the road. Public transport is easy to navigate in Lisbon. 3 stars because on my last night (6 nights in the hotel) I decided to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. The waiter was rude, offered me to sit at a table that wasn't set and every other table was set and not a single person at the table. I thought this was weird. The menu is ok but not huge. I chose the fish with rice and grilled vegetables. Overall it wasn't terrible but the vegetables, which were seperate in a little oven dish were stone cold. They offered me water, I said yes, (Same tap water and bottle that I get in my room free very day x 2) I then was charged 3 euro for the tap water, if I had of known (which I didn't, it's tap water) I would have brought my own. On top of that, when I went to pay the bill, the 2 couples sitting at the bar, all of their drinks were on my bill!! Be careful and check your account closely, it's easier when you're travelling solo to pick these things up. But yes, I know, don't eat in hotel restaurants.
We found The Hilton Emerald House on a search on the American Express travel site. It had good reviews and the photos looked nice so we decided to book it. It exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very charming and well appointed. The room was large with a comfortable bed. The staff were all very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. It is in a quieter part of town, which we liked. We would gladly stay there again!
The Reception people were excellent. Sophia went above and beyond helping me with the doors and windows in the room. Late checkout at 2 PM was very much appreciated and also are arranged by Sophia. Gabrielle and Annabel were also fabulous.
My wife and I stayed at The Emerald House Lisbon during our first visit to Lisbon, which was also a special trip to celebrate both my birthday and our anniversary.
The hotel’s location is very convenient. There is a bus stop just a 1-minute walk away, and the tram stop within 5 minutes, making it easy to explore the city.
Upon arrival at around noon, our room was not yet ready for check-in. However, Annabella at the front desk warmly welcomed us and kindly arranged for us to leave our luggage while we continued exploring Lisbon. When we returned in the evening, she informed us that our luggage had already been delivered to our room, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade. The room was spacious, bright, and featured a private terrace, which was perfect for enjoying Lisbon’s beautiful sunny weather. As a special touch, the hotel also prepared a birthday cake for us, making our celebration even more memorable.
The overall hotel facilities were very good. The breakfast area was comfortable and relaxing, and as the hotel was not overcrowded during our stay, everything felt spacious and enjoyable.
The only area that could be improved is housekeeping. While the room was generally clean, we noticed some signs that certain items may not have been cleaned thoroughly before our arrival. There were visible hairs on the dining table light fixture and on some of the towels, which slightly affected our first impression of the room.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would like to thank Annabella, Diana/ Daina? and the team for helping make our first trip to Lisbon such a memorable experience. With a little more attention to housekeeping details, this hotel would be close to perfect.
It was a nice hotel in a good location. The room I had was nice, as I was upgraded. The only issue was the hot water seemed to take a while to get warm/hot, other than that, no complaints. I had a minor issue with my patio door not locking but it was promptly fixed the next morning.
In closing, I'd stay there again. The staff was very personalble and excellent at what they do.
Not baby friendly
I would like to highly recommend this charming hotel in Lisbon. It is out of the real touristy zone of Lisbon and is more of a residential neighborhood which is quieter. There are many restaurants within walking distance and little coffee shops and markets. The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and there is an excellent restaurant in the lobby. The bar area has a daily happy hour with lovely snacks laid out. But where this hotel shines is the staff itself. We have never encountered the most friendly, efficient, helpful and caring staff anywhere we have traveled. I unfortunately became ill on this trip and the staff assisted me with obtaining a doctor who visited me in my room, and the guest service manager Diana came up to translate for me. After that, any staff member I encountered inquired to how I was feeling. Every staff member I met was always smiling and so helpful. We booked private tours with them and even a taxi for transport to our ship. This is probably our favorite hotel stay in all of Europe!
I had a great stay at The Emerald House, Curio Collection in Lisbon. The hotel is beautiful, very comfortable, and in a great location for exploring the city.
A special mention to Gabriel at reception and João at the bar, who were both extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. Their friendliness and professionalism really made a difference and made me feel very welcome.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!
The kindness of your staff, our waiters during the breakfast
Location is around 3km out of the centre, but it is a nice walk to the city and attractions. There are restuarants nearby and if the weather is nice you can easily walk but if its raining Bolt is very reasonable and easy to use.
Rooms are really pretty but so small, on the positive comfy beds but just such tiny rooms. No mirrors to do makeup or dry hair in bedroom had to use my phone camera.
Breakfast was really nice, and we ate on site one evening which was also tasty and good value.
Staff were ok not the friendliest.
We stayed here prior to boarding a cruise out of Lisbon. We had booked transportation from the airport through the hotel, but our flight was 11 hours late. However the front desk staff were amazing and stayed on top of it and our driver was waiting for us outside of immigration. It was a seamless experience and we would recommend that. They also coordinated a short sightseeing tour for us prior to boarding the cruise ship.
The hotel itself was clean and cute; the staff were very accommodating; and the small restaurant had delicious food (we ate breakfast and lunch there). We would definitely stay here again!
Great shower. Felt like a personal mini-spa.
Lovely decor.
Comfortable, nice sized bed.
Very nice breakfast with some uncommon options (such as the focaccias).
The room was exceptionally small with no supporting furniture to speak of (apart from the two bedside tables) - no desk, no chest of drawers, no coffee table, no chairs, nowhere where one could reasonably expect to be able to place belongings. (Had stayed previouly at the hotel, and on my previous stay the room was definitely bigger, with actual furniture. It's a luck of the draw.)
Wow, I have to say my overall experience at the Emerald was nothing short of fantastic, every single aspect was on point, and the staff really brings the place a very home feeling, one in particular, Gabriel the absolute legend that helped me get to my room, and also helped with a lot of suggestions of what to experience in Lisbon and at the hotel, absolutely recommend this place
