Das Hotel war geschichtsträchtig und die ewirung
Pros:

Die ruhige Lage und die Gastfreundschaft hatten uns sehr gefallen. Wir hatten es geschätzt, dass ein Wasserkocher im Zimmer war. Somit konnten wir Tee kochen.

Cons:

Alles entsprach unseren Erwartungen.

Underwhelming Getaway

There were many positive reviews that led us to believe this would be the perfect getaway while visiting Assisi. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived.

At check-in, the reception desk was cluttered with papers and general mess, which created a poor first impression. One staff member appeared to be asleep, while the other showed very little enthusiasm or interest in assisting us.

While I do not expect everyone to speak fluent English, communication was quite difficult. Normally, this is not an issue for us, as we have travelled extensively throughout Italy and have always appreciated how hotel staff make a genuine effort to communicate and provide good service. Unfortunately, that warmth and willingness to help was missing here.

After eventually checking in, we were informed that the tower (one of the hotel’s defining features) could only be visited by arranging a separate guided tour through an off-site company. We were expected to contact them ourselves and organise a suitable time, which felt inconvenient and surprising, as we assumed this would be something coordinated directly by the hotel.

We were also disappointed to learn that the restaurant was closed. As this had been highlighted positively in many reviews. With very limited dining options nearby, we would need to drive 20–30 minutes to find a proper meal.

The room itself was clean, but the advertised “garden view” was simply an overgrown area with unkept bushes and weeds. Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations and was disappointing enough that we decided to leave immediately and book alternative accommodation closer to Assisi.

Sehr freundliche Atmosphäre, das gesamte Personal war bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen.

La struttura è una dimora storica di recente ristrutturazione molto accogliente e con una magnifica vista e dall’aspetto curato e conviviale a 10/15 minuti d’Assisi.
Si respira la storia del posto ed il proprietario ti incanta con la spiegazione storica della dimora che al suo interno ha una cappella storica di San Girolamo di caratura storica.
Ho apprezzato la torre e l’ampio terrazzino adiacente la torre ,all’interno della torre c’è un’opera d’arte che rappresenta l’assisi in miniatura,una vera opera d’arte distribuita nei vari livelli della torre,Incantevole lavoro artigianale di un artista!
Colazione completa sia salata che dolce va a gusto personale ma direi buona con varie scelte specie nel dolce.
Servizio soddisfacente ed attenzione verso i gli ospiti,completa un ristorante con un menu corto di ricette umbre ,con pochi piatti a scelta (credo sia una scelta consapevole nell’ottica della qualità).

Cons:

Premetto che non è una polemica:
Probabilmente amplierei il fuori menù per accontentare i gusti di coloro i quali non hanno amano funghi o tartufi per avere una scelta in più per i commensali che non mangiano prodotti tipici del luogo.

la stanza è semplice, ma spaziosa e molto pulita. Noi abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte ed è andata benissimo.
Colazione buona a buffet. Ma la vera chicca è la visita che abbiamo fatto con Gabriella alla torre, nella quale è stata alloggiata Assisi in miniatura. Oddio, è veramente riduttivo dire in miniatura, perchè è una meraviglia, costruita in 18 anni e disposta su 4 piani della torre...La storia che nasconde è davvero suggestiva. Fatevela raccontare da Gabriella :)
