There was no breakfast.

I would have rated everything a 10, but when I called there I asked for a view so I could get an early morning pic of the mountains. The person I spoke to said should be no problem. The room I got was next to a dirty building. No view what so ever. I arrived a bit early and thought for sure I’d get my request, he said no they are all taken. When I get a decent pic I take it home and paint it, as a memory of the trip. I love painting.

The hotel could be a grand old place but the attention to detail is lacking.
Pros:

The location but that’s about it.

2 flights of stairs to lug luggage up with no offer of help. No attention to detail. Just ok , pillows bad , bed comfortable.

Sadly Overrated in Cranbrook
Pros:

Decent bed and at least the room was clean

Cons:

Overrated very basic room, other guests opened our door a half hour after we checked in, no glasses in the room and none to be had, older "tired" basic furnishings with 1 small table and chair, locked out after 10 pm and after hours service was to leave a voice-mail, cleaning staff barged in the next morning even though the DND sign was out and we were still there!
