Pros:

The location is amazing. I havent been at the Star on the Gold Coast before. The one bedroom unit with balcony had amazing city views and ocean glimpses. This exceeded my expectations. I will be back. Highly recommend the Star Residence.

Lovely room and facilities.
Pros:

Loved the room inside and the view. Loved the facilities, the pools, gym and the level 20 seating area super amazing. Room nice and modern with a super comfy bed.

Cons:

Didn't like the sound of the hot water system. Outside our room door, it was so loud when people had showers. We did report to reception to be told that it was all over the website and in the welcome letter. We didn't see on the internet and it wasn't on the welcome letter. It was so piercing the sound it would almost make you feel sick in the hallway waiting for the lift or walking to our room.
I requested a little later check out and was granted a 12pm which was great and we appreciated that. But than the cleaner came knocking on the room door at 11am and I said we have been granted a later check out. Well the cleaner went to management and said we were staying until 2pm. I than received multiple calls which I missed and a visit to the room by a male staff member to make sure I wasn't staying past 12pm. Really didn't enjoy the extra hour, it felt more like constant harassment!!!!

Very good if we didn’t have the lift issues and payment problem.
Pros:

Its location and facilities were great.

Cons:

The four lifts were very slow and I wasn’t working. We had an issue with payment whereby it had been taken from our account but wasn’t with them. This took a long time to sort out.

Not enough lifts, expect long waiting times
Pros:

Having a kitchen was great. We like the access to a variety of facilities across The Star venue and the exclusive Residences pool, spa and sauna.

Cons:

Spent a long time waiting for lifts every day. It's always an issue whenever we stay here - not enough lifts for number of levels and patrons.

Clean rooms and nice location but don't trust the staff.
Cons:

We left our multi-charger there and I rang to let them know we'd return in three weeks to pick it up. And I was given a number as a receipt. When we returned, they had no idea of the number and couldn't find the charger. Obviously it appears that staff have kept our multi-charger. I'm annoyed because it's dishonest.

Access is difficult. Instructions poor
Pros:

Clean and well fitted out. No bottled water however.

Cons:

After 8pm reception is closed and no instructions provided for checking in even though I notified late arrival twice.

Great, we would stay again!
Pros:

We had a great stay and the Star Residences. Room was clean, modern and tidy. Had everything you need. The facilities are great, pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Would have loved to have used the BBQ area which was so nice but ran out of time. Saw a lot of people commenting about long wait times for the lifts but we had no issues whatsoever.

Cons:

It was great, if I to mention something the only thing I could think of was the bed was a little firm for my liking.

Pros:

The food at the casino. Beds were somewhat comfortable. Staff were happy and friendly.

Cons:

Room key wouldn't open the pool area on level 6. So didn't have access. Also the block out blinds didn't block out the sun properly in the rooms.. I like a dark room.
