Der var et meget pænt hotel med gode senge. Området er lidt kedeligt med meget få steder at spise og man skal forvente at tage en taxi / uber ind til byen hvis man vil ud at spise. Udendørsområderne er meget flotte og indbydende.

Pros:

Das Personal vorallem Joao an der Rezeption war besonders freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Er hat uns geholfen uns in Porto gut zurecht zu finden und war bei Fragen rund um den Aufenthalt immer hilfsbereit. Damit war das am meisten hervorzuheben. Auch die Ausstattung des Zimmers war sehr gut durchdacht es gab eigentlich alles was man brauchen könnte.

Cons:

Hier gab es leider einige Punkte:
- die Zimmer waren extrem hellhörig
- das Zimmer befand sich im Erdgeschoss und durch die Hellhörigkeit hat man eigentlich jeden Schritt mitbekommen.
- die Tür zu unserem Zimmer hat ständig geklemmt, man konnte sie schwer auf oder zu bekommen
- unsere Badetücher hatten Löcher
- eine Nachbarskatze saß immer auf dem Sofa in der Lobby und spazierte teilweise auch in die Zimmer hinein. Für Leute mit Katzenhaarallergie vielleicht nicht so toll.
- der Esstisch wurde nie drübergewischt, das haben wir dann selbst gemacht.

Aber das schlimmste für mich persönlich als Allergiker: Die Duschbrause war voller Schimmel.

Alles in einem würde ich sagen das Hotel war zwar nicht überteuert aber es hat an den Basics und an Sauberkeit gefehlt. Die Einzelheiten machen den Unterschied.

Pros:

Room was really modern , added bonus of a Nespresso coffee machine with 4 complimentary pods. Staff always friendly. Room was cleaned every day and plenty of fresh towels. Comfy bed so had a good night's sleep. Wish I had booked the spa treatments which looked reasonable priced. Easy transport links to Porto , taxi's at the top of the street and 2 metro stations nearby, easier one to use is Casa da Musica which has a couple of shopping centres near by.

Cons:

1st night a bit of noise in the hallway sounded like air/ heating system, I was worried this would be every night but it wasn't thank god. Hotel is in a residential area but supermarket and taxi rank are at the top of the street .

Cons:

Le bruit général lié au chambres voisines, à la salle de sport en dessous, impossible de dormir après 7h du matin. Arrivée tardive des autres chambres dans la nuit, un réveil assuré. Piscine sans eau en rénovation. Petit déjeuner choix très limités. Pas de rideaux non occultant. C'est soit le jour soit la nuit dans la chambre. Balcon partagé avec les autres chambres. Pas de parking sur place, et pas de places dans la rue de l'hôtel.

Short break to Porto.
Pros:

Breakfast choices lovely - its continental. Excellent service from the staff. beautiful common areas, lovely garden. Room size fine, we had 2 single beds, plenty of room. Close proximity of excellent restaurant and coffee/pattiserie shop.

Cons:

We had quite a bit of mould in our shower base, we just avoided it but it was significant. Single beds on flat wooden platforms - we had issues with the mattresses moving, sliding a bit. View from the window was of air conditioning units. There are 'net' type curtains at the window but no curtain or black out blind. We had to lower the outside electric shutter to block out the light - felt a bit like being hermatically sealed in! Booked this hotel for its swimming pool, it was being refurbished - less of an issue than it could have been due to changeable weather. Had a delayed flight getting there - be aware that reception manned till 11pm.

Hidden oasis with cozy vibes
Pros:

ROOM & STAFF
Incredibly clean and sophisticated hotel. Staff is helpful and they very kindly upgraded our room following the pool renovation not being finished in time for our stay. We felt taken care of even down to housekeeping providing fresh water pitchers everyday.

The balcony + kitchen rooms are cozy and have everything you need, but we still took the time to enjoy the fancy lounge in the hotel. We love the furniture choices as the whole space feels warm and welcoming. The inner courtyard lets lots of natural light in perfect for reading and I can imagine the outdoor area is a little haven in summer.

We made friends with the neighbour's cat who came up to the balcony for love. He was so friendly, he fell asleep on my lap and it and made the whole stay twice as enjoyable.

FACILITIES
We sadly didn't have time for the gym, padel or spa ammenities as Porto had too much in store for us but we'd definitely consider coming back for a lazy holiday to make use of these facilities.

LOCATION
The location was great for us. Uber is around 6-9€ to city centre, 9€ to airport, and just a 10 min walk away we had Casa da Musica station that fulfilled our metro and bus needs into town. We also walked to and from city centre, it's about 40 mins but the walk is pleasant as the city is well maintained and clean.

FOOD
There are no hot food options. Breakfast consist of boiled eggs, ham, cheese, different breads, pastries, yoghurt, oats & muesli, fresh fruit, butter, and jam. Coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice available. The baked goods are really good!!

VIBE
We went in May and it was pretty quiet. Our hotel neighbours were mindful of noise and the place had a relaxed vibe.

Cons:

Soundproofing. You can faintly hear next door talking and watching tv, and the hallway conversations echo loudly in the room. We thankfully had very respectful neighbours but it's something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper.
