I highly recommend this property! It is very comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the location is incredibly convenient. It’s located right near the Independence Monument in central Phnom Penh, just a short distance from the riverside and NagaWorld. I really enjoyed swimming in the rooftop pool, which has an amazing city view and a bar. Breakfast in the beautifully designed restaurant was also delicious.
The breakfast is really good and there’s plenty of choice for the breakfast. Absolutely loved my stay here. Everything was perfect, from the friendly staff to the comfortable room. Everything exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. Can’t wait to come back
Amazing view of city from balcony. Friendly staff. Last minute upgrade on room to make us more comfortable was very much appreciated.
Slight smell on cigarette smoke in corridors.
Centrally located and close to everything. The AC system could do with improvement. I don't know if the AC is connected, but some of the mainland Chinese guests must be smoking in their rooms and that will finish off recirculating and going right through the ACs in the other rooms. And it's very much on the strong side that sleeping through it was a little unpleasant at time. Other than that, the staff were lovely, breakfast was plentiful and filling. The pool have a 360 view and the bar staff were more than accommodating.

The hotel, corridors and rooms even in the non-smoking floors reeked of stale cigarettes and impossible to stay. The smell is in the furnishing so it won’t get rid of with a general clean . Was told that guests from a certain country smoked and disregarded non—smoking zones.
I was shown a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor and both room and corridor smelt so badly of cigarette smoke.
We were having a short trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Ocean Hotel was the great choice.
Room clean, breakfast is awesome. the staff was friendly, especially two female receptionist that help us doing the check in.
The HKP and Service staff were also great
Very good hotel, clean room with all necessary things, dressing gowns, slippers, shampoos, conditioners, lotion, clean towels. Amazing view from the rooftop and good swimming pool. Tasty breakfast for different tastes and friendly staff. Also good location. We have nice memories from this hotel.
Worse reception staff ever , the guy on counter is a liar and would not allow me
Check in with my booking as he wanted more money so he cancelled the boooing and said need pay more .
Hotel was good but the boy downstairs should be sacked 100%
There was a misunderstanding upon our arrival. As part of a bonus program, we were offered early check-in and late check-out, which aligned perfectly with our plans and was one of the main reasons we chose this accommodation. However, while Booking.com confirmed this benefit, the reception staff initially refused to honor it. After calling management, we were assured it wouldn’t be a problem, and we proceeded with the payment.
For some reason, they asked us to sign an unfilled form written in Cambodian and Chinese, which I was uncomfortable with. Additionally, every payment slip stated “no signature required,” which felt unusual. On top of that, they demanded a cash deposit for the minibar and towels.
Overall, the location was convenient for our short stay in Phnom Penh, but the worn-out facility, uninviting swimming pool, poor communication from the reception, and lack of flexibility in resolving issues left a disappointing impression. At check-out we have been told once again about late check-out exception we got and that it is not going to happen again…not 4* service provider!
