An Excellent Seaside Resort in a Perfect Location
Pros:

A large beachfront resort hotel on the outskirts of Makarska, with the town centre easily accessible via a beautiful seaside promenade. This location is one of the hotel's greatest advantages. The resort offers an extensive range of leisure facilities, including outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a fitness centre and a spa. There is also a tennis complex right next to the hotel.

My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a direct, unobstructed view of the sea. The bathroom was equally modern and well designed.

I opted for half-board, with breakfast and dinner included. The food was fresh, varied and offered an excellent selection of dishes.

In my opinion, this is one of the finest seaside resorts of its kind in Croatia.

Cons:

I have no complaints whatsoever. I would simply point out that this is very much a large-scale resort rather than a boutique hotel, with all the characteristics that come with that distinction.

Disappointing Experience at Aminess Laurel Khalani Hotel – Not 5 Stars and Not for Couples
Pros:

We stayed in a luxury room with sea view and balcony which was spacious and comfortable. The view from the room was fantastic.

Cons:

I strongly recommend that couples avoid the Aminess Laurel Khalani Hotel. Despite charging a 5-star price tag, the actual experience falls incredibly short of luxury standards. This property is heavily geared toward families, with children running around everywhere, making it impossible to find any peace or relaxation.

We opted for the Half Board package, which was a huge mistake. While there were plenty of food options, quantity does not equate to quality. Every mealtime at the hotel felt like dining in an overcrowded school canteen. What's even more disappointing is their bizarre drinks policy—water is not included at dinner time, and the resort charges exorbitant rates just for a bottle of still water. Yet, at breakfast, they provide free-flowing vodka and prosecco, which makes absolutely no sense at all.

Even the designated "Adults Only" pool and bar area was constantly overrun with young children splashing around, and management did absolutely nothing to enforce the rules.

The service across the resort was highly disappointing:
• Housekeeping was a disgrace: The only way we could tell they had even entered our room was that the rubbish bin had been emptied. The room was not properly cleaned.
• Unhelpful Reception Staff: The front desk team showed zero interest in hospitality. They showed no willingness to assist with our luggage and provided no useful information about the resort layout or amenities.
• Neglected Gym Facilities: Half of the equipment was marked "Out of Service" for our entire week-long stay. There were no cleaning supplies to wipe down machines, and the water fountain was broken, pouring water straight onto the floor.

This is absolutely not a true 5-star experience, and we will never stay at this property again.

Hotel za svaku preporuku.
Pros:

Sve je bilo savršeno. Sve pohvale za osoblje, posebno za momke sa recepcije.
Dodala bih jedan predlog / mali detalj koji bi nekome možda značio: u wellness i spa zoni bi mogao biti neki sat na zidu, kako bi gosti mogli imati predstavu o vremenu, a da ne izlaze iz bazena ili da nemaju obavezu da uzimaju telefon u ruke, nego uživaju u prelepom ambijentu.
