Pros:

A nice ancient traditional house in the heart of Viana, efficiently restructured as a reasonably-priced hotel. No thrills though.

Cons:

the third floor 'en-suite bathroom' were I stayed at the limit of the term itself....a cove behind a glass sheet, with no doors, ultra-minimal...in my personal experience slightly unpleasant over the night, for a distinctive... sewage scent...
a realy pity because the setup has a lot if potential and the location is great, and there was a great view of the river.
We could leave the luggage after check-out which was convenient, still there is space for management-improvement...

In centro a Viana do Castelo
Pros:

La cortesia della proprietaria che ha risposto prontamente a ogni nostra esigenza.
La posizione è centrale e vicinissima a ogni servizio di Viana do Castelo.

Cons:

Sarebbe stato carino far trovare del caffè gratuito per i pellegrini del Cammino di Santiago. Lo abbiamo provato a pagamento ma non era assolutamente di qualità.
Purtroppo avevamo la camera budget (quindi nessuna lamentela) ma essendo mansardata la finestra si affaccia sul tetto della casa di fronte dove ahimè c'era un nido di gabbiani che non ci hanno dato tregua durante la notte.😅
