Three Cranes Serviced Apartments

The heating was on in the bathroom & we couldn't turn it off, it was very uncomfortable to sleep, we opened windows but didn't do anything cause of the blinds, the quilt was very hot not sure if was the material of the quilt cover, they did have a fan in the room but wasn't the best

The cleanliness. There was poo all down the front of the toilet. The bedding was covered in bobbles.

Nothing

Was a smell of vinegar upon arrival, clearly from cleaning the apartment which was gone shortly after opening the windows to air out. We also had a smoke or carbon dioxide alarm beeping all night which is out of anyone’s control. Would have loved a taller wardrobe to hang up clothes. Some of the cups etc needed a quick re wash but there was soap provided so no problem. Not the place to stay if you struggle with walking up stairs as there is no lift and the stairs are steep. Wasn’t a problem for us but may be for others.

As are all key code locks for the doors that are virtually impossible to see the numbers and would be much better at a higher height.

The Bad
We did not have a single good night's sleep here. The spring mattress was sunken in in the middle resulting in aching hips and backs. Although everything looked clean from a distance, we were disappointed at the overall hygiene level. I couldn't be sure if the duvet or pillow covers were clean. All the table, kitchen countertop, and floor surfaces were sticky. The tableware and drinkware were stained or sticky. The toilet seat and cover had some stains while dust bunnies ran around the toilet floor. The area behind the seat cover was stained with dried pee. We had to clean and wipe down some of the above areas ourselves before feeling comfortable enough to unpack and settle in. Even then, we limited our exposure to the minimum number of appliances/areas in the room. It was physically and mentally uncomfortable to be inside.

The Ugly
On our final night in room 6, new guests checked into rooms 5 and 7 (opposite and adjacent to ours). This was the beginning of a nightmare. They appeared to be students preparing for a night of pub crawling. There were about 5 or 6 of them, both male and female. One of the first things they did was to crawl out of their room window onto an open air wooden platform that all our room windows face to have a smoke. To protect our privacy and air quality, we rolled down our blinds and closed our windows but to no avail, the smell of smoke still seeped into our room. We asked them to move off to smoke somewhere else but were ignored. There were no other windows we could open for ventilation so you can imagine how warm and stuffy it quickly got. A note about the windows, ours had a wire attachment that prevented it from opening more than 7cm. I imagine all other windows had the same contraption so I was surprised the other guests could open theirs wide enough to crawl out of. The windows are not soundproof or airtight.

Everything great

Check in, requirement to bank transfer deposit, very dirty, bugs in the room, little toilet roll provided, rude staff on the phone

We contacted the number to obtain check-in details and the person on the phone was very abrupt. The property was not clean and smelt of cannabis. The hotel seems to be undergoing some work, as there was boxes stacked in the bar area.

The lack of staff meant that other guests ruined our stay and could continue to scream at one another from 4am-10am with no consequences

Nothing I didn’t like

Burn on bedroom carpet and no forks in the kitchen drawer. Thats it really not anything else
