Outdated facilities that were not very clean. The AC was so old and functioning poorly... it was extremely loud making sleeping difficult.
It was clean and the bed was comfortable
1. Having to pay extra for parking.
2. their keeping the closest gate locked in the morning when we were trying to load the car.
3. there was no lobby, only a window.
4. The bright red fridge was huge, but had no freezer.
5. The whimsical decor was a bit over the the top.
There was VERY loud music that played late into the night with lots of alcohol served. Also, the hotel runs the music as a separate concession and gives very limited parking priority to first come first served guests who arrive for the music long before guests who have booked rooms arrive to check in. And there is no available parking on the surrounding streets for several blocks. And the bouncers for the music concession were rude to hotel guests attempting to pull aside the vehicle in order to attempt hotel check in. We found another hotel for which we needed to pay.
We could not stay
Clean comfortable bed, spacious room with nice accoutrements
Faucet in the bathroom leaked water all night and I couldn’t sleep. Also, charging $30 for parking at a motor inn is actually insane.
The room itself is nice and it’s really cute.
Didn’t really feel like a hotel, you check in at the bar and don’t really have a reception. Our television remote didn’t work and there was no reception to go to. I understand the DJ booth ends between 9-10 but still heard noise till about 12; mostly people that attended the event still roaming around.
chorizo pastry was awsome
I stayed for 16 days and only requested room service once. I was a little disappointed that there was no cleaning of the room and the bedding was not changed. The bed was merely made and fresh towels were provided.
The retro vibes
We arrived for our five-day stay fairly late in the evening. At check-in, the front desk agent gave us a total of $1,082.00, which included a $100 incidental hold. I inserted my card into the machine, and it prompted me to remove it after approval. However, their system apparently did not register the payment, even though the amount was immediately deducted from my bank account.
Before attempting to run my card again, I logged into my bank account and confirmed that the funds had indeed been withdrawn. I showed this to the front desk agent, who contacted the general manager and attempted to troubleshoot the issue. After about ten minutes, she told us they would figure it out in the morning and allowed us to go to our room since it was very late.
The next morning, the charge was still pending in my account. My husband and I left for breakfast and errands, then returned to our room before noon and stayed there until we had to leave for a scheduled photo shoot. When we stepped outside to wait for our ride, my husband went back to grab something and discovered our room key no longer worked. We went to the front desk to have it reactivated and were then informed that our keys had been deactivated because payment had not been received.
I explained again that the payment had gone through and showed proof on my phone. I was told to email my receipt to the general manager, which I did immediately from the car since we were on a tight schedule. I also contacted my bank and was informed that the payment had successfully processed on their end and that the issue was with the hotel’s system. Despite this, I was told the charge would “fall off” my account, but in the meantime, we needed to pay another $1,000 to continue our stay.
At that point, I was extremely frustrated. I agreed only to pay for the previous night and the current night so we could sort it out the next morn
Located in a quiet part of Phoenix, the downtown area is accessible by foot with a forty-minute-ish walk (I'm British!). Room was clean and well-equipped.
The room had so many thoughtful items. There was a Brita, full-size refrigerator, microwave, kettlebell. There was a fantastic common area with lounging pool. The on-site restaurant was delicious.
