Nossa hospedagem no Sommerville Resorts foi simplesmente perfeita. Quarto maravilhoso, serviço impecável, local lindo, extremamente bem cuidado, alto-astral, com destaque para a indescritível simpatia da proprietária, a sempre presente Sra. Joyce. Recomendamos muito para quem, como nós, prefere hospedar-se em hotéis menores, com espírito local.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr familiär und bietet alles was man braucht. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich und hat sich sehr um uns bemüht - wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es mehrere Restaurants, sodass man auch zu Fuss gut unterwegs sein kann.

Our stay at Sommerville Resorts was amazing. Place was so clean and relaxing. Joyce our host was always so pleasant and accommodating. It felt like a home away from home. Location is a quick 3 min walk to Rick's Cafe and a 10 min drive to the strip on Seven Mile Beach. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

Joyce was welcoming and knowledgeable, from the moment we arrived Joyce and Demali welcomed me as if I was family. Our private chef made a delicious variety of breakfast foods each morning. Resort/hotel atmosphere was free from excessive noise allowing me to unwind, yet easily accessible to all local activities, restaurants, cliff bars, and is walking distance from the renowned Rick's Cafe. The property has all the modern amenities one would expect. The guest rooms and bathrooms are spacious, beds are huge,clean and amazingly comfortable ! Linens and towels where spotless and smelled clean and fresh! Us guests were commenting among each other about the beautiful property.
I felt very safe during my stay as a solo traveler, from the gated parking to having overnight security. I LOVED everything about Sommerville and will definitely return on my next trip to Negril. I highly recommend this property.

From the moment we arrived Joyce and Demali welcomed us as if we were family. It felt very personal and sincere but not overbearing. We didn’t manage to get up in time for breakfast each day by 10am but Joyce worked around us always offering food outside of the allocated hours. The resort/hotel was very quiet but easily accessible and it felt very traditional yet modern. The beds are huge, clean and amazingly comfortable. All the guests were commenting!

We had an incredible stay! The room was immaculately clean, definitely one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed. Everything was fresh, tidy, and well-maintained. The property also felt very safe, which gave us peace of mind throughout our trip.

The host was warm, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. Her hospitality was truly top tier, she made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

Breakfast was always delicious, with the option of a tasty Jamaican breakfast or a continental one if you preferred. It was the perfect way to start each day.

The location is amazing! It’s just one minute from Rick’s Café and about nine minutes from the party strip, which made it ideal for Dream Weekend. We loved being so close to the events but still having a peaceful place to relax afterward.

Highly recommend this spot, you’ll get comfort, convenience, and outstanding service all in one place!

Well lighted, safe, friendly staff, quiet and insect freee

Beautiful location. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Nice spacious and clean room. The food was good. I enjoyed my stay.

The property is conveniently located close to many of the points of interests in Negril, like Rick`s Cafe.
The rooms are in a beautiful historic house, are spacious, comfortable, very clean and stylish.

What makes this place outstanding and wonderful is the host, Joyce who showered us with her hospitality, warmth, conversations, delicious breakfast, numerous tips/recommendations and a goodbye hug. Unforgettable stay and priceless value

This is one of the best resort experiences we’ve had! The resort is beautiful and very well-maintained, standing out from most other resorts along the coast. It’s in walking distance to many of the local restaurants and tourist attractions (Rick’s Cafe, etc). It’s very close to the sea, so we didn’t feel missed out at all compared to the beach-facing resorts with pools.
The hospitality and service is top-notch—we felt personally and genuinely welcomed. Our host is super friendly and helpful. We were greeted with rum punch when we arrived, and we had options of traditional Jamaican breakfast (ackee & fish, very delicious) and traditional American breakfast. The host is very accommodating for our needs, giving us great itinerary advice and connecting us to affordable local services (safe taxis, places to visit, tours, etc.), even helping us get back safely past midnight on NYE. Our host was born in Jamaica and has lived most of her life in the US, so we felt right at home while being welcomed to the local culture with trustworthy assistance.

My 3 children and I arrived at the Somerville to find a boutique luxury resort with all of the amenities to make us feel right at home. Our private transportation was arranged by the resort (for fee) to comfortably transport us from Montego Bay to Negril. We were greeted with refreshing rum punches and lemonade. Check-in was smooth, prompt and professional. We were escorted to our suites to find 5 star accommodations. The Somerville matches any brand name 5 star resort in the quality of the rooms, property and exceptional hospitality. Each room had a beach theme, was meticulously clean and offered a refreshing environment for relaxation. Each suite had sitting area and table, as well as a modern bathroom. Outside there is a private sitting area for each suite. I enjoyed the quiet sounds of nature each morning. It was clear that we had found a hidden jewel in Negril's West End.

The Sommerville is within 10 minutes or less walking distance to Negril's famous Rick's Cafe. We went twice to enjoy the music, entertainment and perfect sunsets.

The resort rate included a full breakfast each morning, including eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes or the traditional Jamaican ackee and saltfish. We went to the Negril 7 Mile Beach daily (10 min away) at Margueritaville and returned to our resort retreat, stopping daily at the bakery for fresh patties. We found dinner options within walking distance, Ivan’s Restaurant for cliffside dining.

Without hesitation, the Somerville is a rare find!

This is one of the most incredible places I'v ever been to. I really did not know what to expect initially when i booked but the amazing communication put my mind at ease. i can tell right away it was gonna be an  awesome getaway. The rooms are so clean, spacious and peaceful and  the resort is so conviently located, surrounded by great eataries And within close distance to the beach. Everyone here is some of the most incredible human beings i've ever met in my life. Kind, genuine, patient, nuturing and protective  Mrs Joycee ( the owner )is the best! Mr.  Baker, Lisa, Andrew, Orville, and Damali all sooo amazing. i can't wait to come back until that time i carry them all in my heart. Please book your stay here, you won't be disappointed💖

The property is newer and the suites are well equipped for a boutique hotel. The bathroom felt like a private spa with rain shower and large open area for couples to freshen up with his and hers sinks .Don’t let me forget nice fluffy towels!!

The bed was comfortable with top notch pillows and linens.

The garden views a little disappointing due to recent storms but all of us know the beauty will replenish in due time otherwise very serene place to chill and relax.

The property has absolutely nothing to offer. It's in the middle of nowhere. Management leaves you there alone. We were the only guests!!

This property is amazing. It felt like my home away from home not to mention the loving kindness and warmth I received from the staff ( Ms.Joyce & Damali) just to mention a few. Chef Baker made delicious meals so that we could start our day right. All our needs were attended to without any hesitation at all. This is definitely my go to place to stay whenever I’m in West End, Negril. The rum pumch that greets you definitely sets the tone. Just know your stay will be memorable from the moment you arrive.
