Noisy. I was in a bedroom above the kitchen which was very noisy until the kitchen closed at night. The hotel is in a convenient location and the views from the room were super.
Good menu for breakfast
Lovely hotel. Spent 5 nights here in September. Very convenient location for sightseeing around the area. We ate here every evening and breakfast. The food was excellent. There were few staff but the service was very good.
Pet friendly, very nice, spotless room. Star very helpful and warm. Room was incredibly hot due to the weather, though there was fan.
Restaurant food quite decent (it's a Chef and Brewer). We didn't have the breakfast as we had early starts each day (extra £).
Unfortunately there was no in room fridge for us to keep the dog's food in, which was a minor problem due to the heat.
Restaurant was not in the same league as the hotel. Service staff operated at their convenience rather than client. Poor food (toad in the hole was execreble! But friends were paying so I didn’t to offend). Hotel staff were great and rooms were excellent.
Fabulous stay, staff welcoming attentive and smiling. Room a treat, balcony with view overlooking the Menai. Bed very comfortable ( setee too ). Was a bit noisy on Saturday night but didn’t bother us. Garden seating a real area of tranquility
Staff were very friendly, though we only had dealings with breakfast staff. Breakfast was ok, though limited choice on the 2nd morning when we went down for breakfast. We had a large room which was spacious, but just was let down by rips in the bedding. Nearly £400 for 2 nights, I would have expected better.
Absolutely beautiful outside space, a well kept garden with superb views over the Menai Strait. Room was lovely, very clean and well maintained; the bed was comfortable and we had a great balcony (again, with views over the Strait). The shower was ok, just about warm enough. The staff were friendly and the service was very good (special mention to Nathan, whether first thing at breakfast or serving us at the bar, unfailingly polite and on the ball).
We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
Room wasn't what we expected
Wasn't the one shown on website
It was smaller
Nice stay good food
Parking was tricky when we arrived as there were a lot of people eating at the restaurant. The room was neat and tidy and the shower facilities was excellent.
Fantastic hotel, can’t wait to return, clean and very comfortable a great base to stay for exploring the area .staff were friendly and welcoming.
Very nice rooms and staff who could not be more helpful and friendly . Food quality excellent with a wide choice .
Primarily a pub with rooms, rather than a hotel, it is part of quite a large chain so expect a corporate identity. That said, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had felt small and the bathroom felt cramped, also the bathroom could have been cleaner (shower tray and skirting boards). The room was very noisy from quite early in the morning and there was quite a lot of noise from other rooms. When eating in the restaurant, the quality of meals served seemed a bit hit and miss and is best described as adequate rather than special in any way, the menu exactly matches that of our local Chef and Brewer. I don’t think we will be returning.
Menai is a great centre for touring Anglesey and the mainland. The hotel has lovely views over the straits and the gardens are beautiful. The public areas are stylish and comfortable and so are the bedrooms. The staff are efficient, pleasant and very helpful.
The rooms are really nice and the views are great, the food in the pub downstairs is extremely good. The only down side is no lift so you have to carry bags up the stairs but the stay is worth it
Great location, gorgeous garden looking over the river Menai, spotlessly clean and super staff who are friendly and happy to help. Loved our stay, would recommend
Fantastic hotel , lovely staff and great food . We had a wonderful stay , especially welcoming to our dog !
Beautiful hotel, friendly people.
The worst hard pillows and had a fire alarm( false alarm) at 8 am.
Lovely staff-very polite, helpful and friendly.
