Pros:

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was fantastic. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The walkability to the entire Bar Harbor area was very convenient. As well the location provided easy access to Acadia National Park. Would highly recommend.

Great location for the price.
Pros:

The total experience was great, but what made the biggest difference was Janique’s personal attention. She gave us great suggestions of where to eat and places to visit that we would have missed otherwise.
The only disappointing thing was that the bed is sagging.

Cute Hotel in a Great Location (Just Watch the Parking)
Pros:

We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary, and the Main Street Motel welcomed us with the sweetest celebratory surprise and a basket of Maine-themed treats. It was amazing! The hotel itself is very cozy and is in a great location. It may look like a standard motel on the outside, but inside, it feels clean, bright, and updated. We were given a corner room on the top floor, which was awesome because it had two windows and, thus, let in a lot of light. The front desk office has a coffee machine and breakfast items/snacks that are available to guests free of charge 24/7, which is fantastic if you want to head into Acadia National Park early in the morning before restaurants open. The hotel is located toward the end of the main streets, which means it is a little removed from all the chaos but still very walkable to everything (~10 minutes to the majority of the restaurants/bars/shops).

Cons:

When we checked in, we were given a tag for our car that identified us as guests of the hotel. We assumed this meant we had a reserved parking spot. What we didn't realize is that the hotel's parking lot also appears to allow other people to pay for parking, so I think our tag only granted us free parking, not reserved parking. We came back after a late dinner to find no spots available, and to make matters worse, it was dark and pouring rain. Having to scramble to find parking late at night in the rain when we weren't expecting to was not ideal. We only drove to dinner because it was raining hard and we thought we had a guaranteed parking spot upon our return.

THE place to stay in Bar Harbor!
Pros:

Location is perfect with plenty of free parking. It's within walking distance of so many attractions.
The service is exquisite. Janique, with her sense of humor and good mood, helped us so much with any information we asked for, even the tide schedule for crossing the amazing sandbar. I already miss her. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Quiet, very clean,convenient. Great staff. Super location to enjoy Bar Harbor walking. Nice furnishings and fresh decor including local photographs. Windows allow fresh air. High quality coffee,tea,water,fruit and snacks. Lovely sweet place, not your average motel. Great books and brochures on Bar Harbor & Acadia. The place is well appointed and managed .

Great stay
Pros:

The hotel was clean and had all the items necessary for our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the variety of coffee options in the office. Great way to start the day. Our room was very quiet.

Awesome Stay at the Main Street Motel
Pros:

Awesome hotel for the price. The staff couldn't have been nicer! The room was clean and plenty of towels. Great location, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, parking no problem, the complimentary coffee, fruit, snacks and water was perfect 👌.
