Staff on point
Pros:

The staff in every area are on point. They are nice, respectful, and do whatever they can to support your stay. Fabulous.

Location is exceptional to the Disney Hall, museums, and restaurants.

The spa is on its own level and offers a sauna and lounge room even without a spa service.

The pool area overlooks the horizon and Skye is ready to support your stay with drinks and towels.

Our room specialist was on point with making sure all amenities were stocked and provided a handwritten note and cupcakes for my son’s graduation and birthday. Thank you!

Manny was by far the best part of this establishment. He took us by house car to a restaurant and offered to move our car from regular parking to valet. Wow!!!! This made a world of difference in our stay! Thank you, Manny! I was amazed and ever thankful.

The only issue is that our room was small and only had a shower. There is no balcony. No wine glasses. Minimal bathroom amenities. I should have asked for an upgrade as a Diamond member but they were busy and I didn’t want to be a bother. Again, this my fault.

For those who are used to something far more grand, think the Waldorf, you may be a bit disappointed. As an option for a free reward, I would choose something else.

Beautiful stay for the last Short n’ Sweet show!
Pros:

We had an amazing experience at Conrad LA! We were there the week before Thanksgiving for the Sabrina Carpenter concert. I was traveling with my daughter and her friend and we had two separate rooms. One of the rooms was an upgraded suite which was absolutely superb (although my daughter and her friend took that over!). There was a steam shower in there that was equivalent to one you would see in a gym like equinox. Beautiful views of LA. Housekeeping service was superb. We did dine in the bar/restaurant as well as Jose Andres San Laurel. Both were great restaurants and, of course, San Laurel “stole the show.” (I highly recommend the Crudo)

The staff were wonderful. One particular hotel manager certainly went “above and beyond.” La’Quan is as top of a manager as you can get. He provided exceptional service. Upon check-in, there was a minor issue that he addressed promptly with genuine care. His communication was clear and he ensured that the outcome exceeded any expectations that we had. He is the type of personnel that is a tremendous asset to a hotel or resort and deserves recognition.

The hotel is also quite close to downtown so if you are there for an event at Crypto.com Arena, it’s quite convenient. I highly recommend this property!

Outstanding stay!
Pros:

Mr Mateusz Gosztyla hotel manager, gave my Wife and family an outstanding experience and wanted to recognize the hotel and manager and staff for providing exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, the professionalism, hospitality ,and attention to detail truly stood out. The manager Mr Gosztyla went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The property was very clean and operated with a level of care the reflects outstanding leadership.
A great manager sets the tone for an entire hotel, and it’s obvious that strong leadership is the reason this place runs so smoothly. I highly recommend staying here and will absolutely return in the near future!

FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!!!

A great stay to spoil yourself. You won’t regret it
Pros:

Truly lives up to its reputation as one of the finest hotels. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming from the valet to the front desk and to Raven the pool attendant. It’s a pricey stay but you justify it at every moment you’re there. Location to the Broad, Music Center, MOCA, Dataland and Disney Hall is unmatched.

Stylish hotel in a terrific location for walking to arts and culture downtown
Pros:

Just returned from a wonderful one-night staycation at this classy, modern hotel in the heart of downtown LA's arts/culture corridor on Grand Avenue. Since parking is valet-only at a hefty overnight charge and we wanted to explore the area on foot, we took the Expo light rail line to the Grand Ave/Arts/2nd Street station and walked a short block-and-a-half. There is a lack of signage at the station guiding one past heavy construction happening at the back-end of The Broad museum, but we found our way without too much trouble. Once the construction is over, there should be a convenient pedestrian bridge over to Grand Avenue.

The hotel is sleek with lots of glass on the exterior, but is not a typical box or glass tower. You do have to take an elevator to the 10th floor in order to check in at the lobby; 4th floor exits to the street, while 3rd floor exits to the parking porte-cochére.
I had booked a Deluxe King room but exchanging emails with the concierge ahead of time, I learned that due to my Diamond status, I would be upgraded to a premium Disney Hall view King room. Check in was smooth, friendly and efficient and our room was ready when we arrived at 2 pm.

The room itself was decently-sized but the highlight is the promised Disney Hall view. Since we are locals, we've seen that Frank Gehry-designed building dozens of times but it was still a treat to be able to see it directly across the street and at a higher than street level elevation. (See photos) The room has modern furnishings, with a zen-like aesthetic. There was a lounge/sectional sofa, a small coffee table, a desk area, Nespresso coffee-maker, safe, bathrobes, and slippers. There was a stocked mini-bar including a chilled beverage section but no usable mini-fridge. The bathroom was a good size, with a large shower with a rain shower head, a hand-held wand, and a regular shower head. The most notable feature of the room was electronic panels located at a few places on the walls, from which one could theoretically turn on/off lights and raise/lower the blackout window shade electronically. I say theoretically because it was not self-evident what each button on the panel did (as far as lighting is concerned) so there was a bit of trial and error. Still, it was fun playing around with the controls.

We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the hotel. We had tickets for a show at the Ahmanson Theater across the street and to the north, we ate at restaurants downstairs and a block away, and we paid an impromptu return visit to The Broad contemporary art museum (free admission). Also, within two blocks were MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art, free admission), the Colburn School, Disney Hall (concerts), the Music Center (opera, dance), the Mark Taper Forum (plays), and Grand Park. Grand Central Market (food hall) and Little Tokyo district are about 10-15 minute walk away. On a beautiful spring weekend, everything was clean, comfortable and safe.

Since the weather was so nice, we also spend a little time relaxing by the hotel's rooftop pool, which overlooks Los Angeles' iconic City Hall tower. Using our $50 food and beverage credit for Diamond members, we had a wonderful breakfast at San Laurel restaurant overlooking Disney Hall. Every staff person we encountered (front desk, valet, housekeeping, janitorial) was friendly and seemed to enjoy working there, which seems to be a rarity these days. That is usually a sign of good management and it did not go unnoticed by us.

In sum, I can highly recommend Conrad Los Angeles for an enjoyable visit with lots to walk to and take in in the Grand Avenue area.
