Perfect for me for 2 nights
Pros:

I decided to rebook after hearing the hotel had made some efforts to improve the experience. I was surprised and relieved that my room was very clean and felt comfortable. I was checked in by a local gentleman who was very friendly and made me feel welcome.

Cons:

No soap in the room.

Good value. Great position. Would have no hesitation in staying here again.
Pros:

Staff. Great room with sea views (Room 15). Proximity to town, restaurants, pubs, castle, etc Price.
Breakfasts.

Cons:

Hotel undergoing a makeover. No problem for us but it is still a work in progress so some rooms may still be in need of same.
All the flowers shown in the photos out front have disappeared.

Crap
Pros:

Not alot only good thing was they let us keep our luggage there after checkout plus it's across the road from the pier and the stone beach

Cons:

Would only accept cash knowing it said i could pay by card no staff when needed (no staff to be seen) fire alarm kept going off all hours
Wifi kept cutting off
TV kept losing single sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on rocks
Breakfast was too greasy no continental breakfast as advertised in the menu and that was the same on my last visit and stay at this hotel
Got a bar but never opened got a restaurant but never opened (lack of staff most probably)
Staris are too steep leading up to the rooms shower screen fell apart

If I could I would ask for a Refund as it wasn't worth the stay and the money hopefully the waterfront hotel will look to improve in the near future
Keep getting told the hotel is being done up but was told the same thing last year

Weekend reunion.
Pros:

Pros:

The view and the location.

Cons:

It was dirty.
Shower did not work.

Great location but that's all.
Pros:

Room needs a good clean.
Shower thermostat not working resulting in either cold or scalding water.
Dead spider in room.
Poor breakfast. Photo on menu shows 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 sausage but you only get 1 of each.
Half a slice of toast!
Menu says help yourself to yoghurt and fresh fruit but there wasnt any.

Excellent location.
Pros:

Excellent location. Comfortable bed. Powerful fan was appreciated due to the heat wave, Value for money.

Cons:

The hotel is very dated, under renovation apparently. Given the location and price we are not complaining. Difficult parking on a saturday evening.

Pros:

Cheaper than competition, kitchen, now looks pretty clean

Cons:

Bad communication: only automated messages. The owner neglected to send me the door pin number, I had to wait till another guest let me in. Wifi didn't work. No separate bins for paper and plastic in the ckitchen, I had to take my waste with me to be green. Finally, no fan, though it's 30 degrees.

When I arrived at the hotel room was dirty and smelly i refused to live there i said to refund my money they said we informed the booking. Com they will refund the money i paid £171.50 and they refund £19.50 they made joke with me, I just suggest don't book this hotel totally worth less and also don't trust booking. com

Was ok for the few hours that we needed it for before we left to catch a ferry
