Wonderful place to wind down

We were most amazed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner. He helped us with the luggage, not only carrying it down the stairs into the room, but also when we left carrying it up the stairs to the car, he also offered us an upgrade - a free upgrade to a better and bigger room with lovely views. The breakfast is probably the most memorable thing - not only was it a scrumptious lovely Turkish breakfast, but it was served under shades on a terrace overlooking the Euphrates. I mean, how wonderful, how more beautiful can it get. The owner does not really speak English, but with the help of translation apps he was constantly in touch with us. He wanted to know how our day was, if everything is OK, if we need something. It just gave us really a wonderful feeling of excellent hospitality and being welcome all the time. Halfeti is a very quiet town with lovely, floating restaurants and beautifully situated on the shores of the Euphrates with Rumkale just a short boat ride away. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and since it was the beginning of our holidays, it was a wonderful way to start winding down in the most beautiful place with a wonderful host. I can only recommend this property to anyone and I’m so glad that we chose it and I would do it any time again

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in Türkmen Konağı Halfeti Butik Otel. Das historische Gebäude wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert und bietet eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre, die perfekt zu Halfeti passt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Besonders erwähnen möchte ich die herzlichen und unglaublich gastfreundlichen Besitzer des Hotels. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Leidenschaft sie in diesen Ort stecken. Ihre Hilfsbereitschaft und warmherzige Art haben unseren Aufenthalt noch schöner gemacht. Überhaupt das ganze Personal war super nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück: frisch, lecker und mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf den Euphrat – ein perfekter Start in den Tag.
Ich kann das Hotel wirklich jedem empfehlen, der Halfeti besucht. Ein Ort zum Entspannen, Genießen und Wohlfühlen. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder! 🙏❤️

Nice location and beautiful room.
Pros:

Breakfast, parking and how helpful the manager was in sorting out the boat trip and recommending restaurants. The location is delightful with beautiful views across the river.

Cons:

As I have trouble on stairs, be aware that there are a number of stairs to negotiate to get to the terrace where the breakfast is served.

Nice but could be better
Pros:

This could be a very nice hotel. The owners are very nice, the room decoration is lovely and being able to sit on the terrace having drinks or breakfast overlooking the Euphrates is magical. Breakfast is exceptionally good, the best we had on our trip.

Cons:

There is a lack of attention to maintenance. Shower was broken in one of our rooms, Blown light bulbs were not replaced. We had a triple room with a double bed and a single bed in an L shaped alcove. There was no light in that alcove and in fact no lights except the main ceiling chandelier which only had 2 bulbs working. Halfeti is very popular and the hotel prices reflect, this being extremely high. It was around 40% more to stay here than to stay in the Hampton by Hilton in Gaziantep. At that level I expect everything to be perfect and to have a level of luxury that sadly the hotel did not achieve.
