TOA Hotel & Spa Zanzibar

A localização é numa área que não é turística, mas é TÃO linda quanto. O staff é extremamente acolhedor e solicitos. Eu adorei o meu quarto com varanda, espaço é otimo. O banheiro era excelente e com água quentinha.
Os jantares eram diversificados, algumas noites na praia, outras no salão com música ao vivo, outras noites focavam em frutos do mar. Achei isso excelente!
Eles oferecem atividades também para além da estrutura do hotel. Não é aquele resort GIGANTESCO e particularmente achei bom.
Nós não ficamos em vários hóteis em Zanzibar, até porque estavamos com crianças e idosos e por isso escolhemos um hotel no meio do caminho para as atrações. Foi otimo porque o hotel está ha 1 hora do norte e 1 hora do sul.

In June, we stayed here for almost three weeks, and from the very first moment, we felt more than welcome. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and atmospheric and a very relaxed atmosphere.

We had a lovely, spacious room. Additionally, there is a beautiful swimming pool. From the pool, you walk in a straight line onto the beach, which is well maintained and has good sunbeds. The beach bar is also very nice.

The food in the restaurant is very good and varied. Meat, fish, pasta, various salads, everything is of high quality. And twice a week there is a bbq on the beach with live music.

But the biggest compliment is definitely for the staff! The guest experience here is truly at an unprecedented level. The entire team does everything to make your stay unforgettable, always with a genuine smile and personal attention. Nothing is too much trouble(Hakuna Matata). Prince and Thea were our favorites in the restaurant. They are so nice! Of course, the rest of the staff also deserves all the praise. From the reception to the restaurant, the bar, housekeeping, and the gardeners: everyone is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and proud of what they do. You can see that reflected in every detail.

Special thanks go to Ester, the Front Office Manager. Her personal involvement really makes all the difference. For instance, she surprised us with a private dinner on the beach, which was an unforgettable experience!

We look back on our holiday with great pleasure!

Beach and food

Wat ons verblijf echt bijzonder maakte, was de uitstekende service. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk, gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen. We voelden ons vanaf het eerste moment welkom. De medewerkers deden zichtbaar hun best om het ons naar de zin te maken en stonden altijd klaar met een glimlach. Dankzij hun warme ontvangst en professionele houding hebben we enorm genoten van ons verblijf. Zeker een aanrader!

We stayed here 18 days. It is a very nice accommodation with lots of possibilities. Swimming pool, the sea (when it is high tide) and lovely seats on the beach as well as along the swimming pool.

Dinners are very good. It is on a buffet idea, but there are always freshly made meat/fish from the grill or pastas made in front of you. If you want to eat alla carte, this is also possible, but really not needed.

The personal is great! Big shoutout to all of them!! Our personal favourite was Prince. What a nice guy.
But don’t forget our “Chief” Fadhil. He is the F&B supervisor who organised a private dinner for us at the beach.

When we entered TOA for the first time we met with Ester. We would like to thank her too in particular.

Rooms are cleaned every day.

המלון מהמם, נקי מאוד. הצוות מאוד מאוד אדיב, תמיד מחייך, מציע איך אפשר לעזור. יש ארוחות מגוונות, הופעות, ופעמיים בשבוע ארוחות ערב על החוף שזה ממש מגניב. בנוסף שלוש פעמים בשבוע יש בסיום ההופעה הרקדה של האורחים שזה מיוחד וכיף!

The property is very beautiful with plants all around the building is very aesthetic looking and well maintained. I like that the property it was gated. It felt very safe and even though the property was small I think the layout was very well planned. They upgraded my room and my room was super big huge windows huge bathroom very comfortable and I had a garden view surrounded by plants and I really enjoyed it. What really made this stay incredible was the Staff I wanna give a special thank you to Esther but there’s other people as well that made my stay amazing I don’t know everybody’s names but I would like to also include Sadoo, the chefs the servers every single person was so sweet the housekeeping was proactive. They remembered my birthday they made me feel special. They were so respectful, every single staff and I really hope that every single staff gets rewarded because they were all incredible. I travelled alone and I did not feel lonely not even one day and this says a lot about the staff in this incredible hotel they helped me arrange tours. They were very quick with everything even when I was having issues they would fix it quickly, for example, when I arrived, the room wasn’t ready so they offered me lunch and everybody just made me feel so comfortable and I really want to say a special thank you.

The hotel is very beautiful, perfect for people who want to relax away from the city and also a perfect destination for couples. I liked the dinner at the beach with a live band and also I appreciate a particular lady called Esther at the reception, who was very helpful, responsive and professional in her work. Thank you!

First of all, the staff is amazing. They are all so sweet and kind.
The hotel is on a good location, and they have a great pool.
Every day they try to help you and greet you on a really personal level.

We got a room upgrade (from our POV; there were almost no other guests at the moment we checked in, so they wanted to locate all the guests in only two buildings, which we do understand). But the upgraded room was really nice. The beds in both rooms were really comfy and big, nice mattresses.

The ac was leaking in our room and there was a lot of noise when we had doors closed. There was another guests playing hard music at the pool so we talked to the staff and they changed our room (and talked to the guy) so that's really sweet of them.

They have an amazing pool area with really good beach acces and nice sunbeds towards the beach. Outside on the beach and on the road you can have some nice walkes and explore the area a little.

We booked half board so we had breakfast and dinner. The food and the variety was really good. The quality of the food is amazing. Tastes really good, local style and heaps of healthy options.

Two things what really had effect on our joy during our stay was the fact that the buffet opens at 1930, which was really too late for us.
Because we booked half board but didn't know it'd be that late, otherwise we wouldn't have stayed here. That's a personal preference.

The second thing was the really open structure from the bedroom to the bathroom. There's no door between bed and toilet area, which we really didn't like. For us a toilet is just a private space and it shouldn't be included in the room like this.

Oh, and from my opinion; they aren't aloud to call their 'gym' a gym, because you can't get a proper workout done. Machine is half broken, hardly any weights and no space.

Not sure if we'd go back, if we do it's without dinner but still the toilet situation is a no go for us.

Die Zimmer und der Strand waren super. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. La nourriture était de bonne qualité, variée et agréable au quotidien. L’ambiance générale est sympathique et détendue, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus plaisant. Un grand merci à Esther, la manager, pour sa compréhension et son écoute — elle a su être disponible et attentive, ce qui fait vraiment la différence. Je recommande.

It’s very peaceful and quiet a very good place if you want to relax and really unwind:)

Spacious and comfortable rooms, nice pool area and dinner on the beach were the main reasons I came back to Toa for the second time.
