Good Location but unfriendly staff
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent location, and we liked its overall design. Our room was quiet and a reasonable size for a two-night stay. The restaurant was good, and we enjoyed some lovely food.

Cons:

The mattress was not the best quality and could have been more comfortable.
The hotel appears to focus heavily on accommodating large tour groups rather than individual travellers. Compared with our stay at The Reykjavik EDITION, the staff at the Parliament Hotel seemed disinterested and unfriendly. Even the barman serving coffee was particularly unwelcoming.
On our second evening, we were advised to order room service because three large groups were dining in the restaurant. After three unsuccessful attempts to place an order by phone, we gave up and went to the restaurant, where we found several tables for two available despite the groups.
We emailed the hotel about the poor service that evening but never received a response, which was disappointing.
