The Charm Hotel - Old City

Daily servicing of rooms was spotty - sometimes done properly, other times only half completed, no discernible pattern.

Très mauvaise expérience dans cet hôtel. Nous y avons séjourné pendant cinq jours et, malheureusement, nous ne reviendrons pas.

Plusieurs problèmes ont rendu notre séjour particulièrement décevant. La porte de la douche était cassée et l’eau s’écoulait à l’extérieur à chaque utilisation, ce qui nous obligeait à éponger et sécher le sol après chaque douche.

Le siège des toilettes était également cassé

La porte d’entrée de notre chambre était également très problématique : il fallait passer la carte trois fois avant qu’elle ne s’ouvre correctement. À chaque entrée dans la chambre, cette situation était particulièrement agaçante et peu pratique.

Pour un séjour de cinq jours, la quantité de gel douche mise à disposition était très insuffisante et ne suffisait même pas pour une seule journée. De plus, une seule couverture, prévue pour une personne, nous a été fournie alors que nous étions deux dans la chambre.

Le restaurant était également décevant : la nourriture était régulièrement froide et le choix était très peu varié.

Enfin, l’emplacement de l’hôtel ne nous a pas du tout rassurés. Le quartier est très populaire et nous ne nous sommes pas sentis en sécurité, notamment en raison de la présence de nombreux hommes dans la rue devant et sous l’hôtel jusque tard dans la nuit. Une boîte de nuit se trouve également juste en face de l’hôtel, ce qui rend l’environnement assez bruyant et peu agréable.

Nous avons beaucoup de mal à comprendre comment cet établissement peut être classé quatre étoiles. Pour nous, le niveau de maintenance, de confort et de service ne correspond absolument pas à ce que l’on peut attendre d’un hôtel quatre étoiles.

Nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel et nous n’y séjournerons plus.

Just as low and below as a number can get is what this place is worth. I honestly can’t rate this negatively enough. Early on during check-in, I spotted roaches and immediately went downstairs to complain. I was told there were no other rooms available and asked if I could spend the night in that room. I mentioned that I have OCD, so I knew I simply would not be able to survive the night there.

As the day went on, roaches were crawling all over the place: the floor, shower, sink, toilet, coffee/tea corner,  closet, entrance seating area, closets, fridge, and even from underneath the mattress. This room was in an absolutely unacceptable condition for a 4-star hotel. The carpets in the hallway were disgusting. There was also a door in the hallway left open with a lot of rubbish and clutter inside. That is certainly not something guests should have to see while staying at a hotel. The lighting in the room was extremely dim. Luckily, I have good eyesight and was able to spot even the tiniest roaches.

The overall cleanliness and standard of the accommodation were far below what anyone should reasonably expect from a 4-star hotel. I simply could not sit down in that room. My OCD went through the roof. The reception gave me roach spray and, because I felt everything was dirty, even touching the windows, so I didn’t open them and I was spraying it in a closed room. I was literally exposing myself to the fumes just trying to make the room somewhat bearable. I went downstairs again to complain and was given another can of spray.

At a certain point in the middle of the night, I still could not sit down or relax in that disgusting room. I was pacing around constantly. I had to keep my luggage completely closed because I was terrified that roaches would get inside. I just could not relax. I went downstairs and demanded my money back immediately. Of course, I was told: “Come tomorrow.” I managed to book another hotel, but I did not sleep that night.

Foltosak voltak a törölközők amik érkezésünkkor a szobába voltak de szóltunk és kicserélték. Illetve a reggeli talán lehetne választékosabb, pár naponta változtatni.
