Over priced but well meaning
Pros:

Good location

Cons:

A fair amount of sorting out needed on arrival. First room reeked of cigarettes and tv didn’t work/no internet. Second room kettle and shower door broken. Shower poor. Carpets in corridors desperately need replacing. Felt expensive for what it was. Staff seem aware of need to renovate though.

Maybe it depends on the room you get - but mine was disgusting.
Pros:

The location is adequate to the sea front and a short distance from the main strip/shops.

Cons:

Everywhere was disgusting. The floor carpet was ripped and stained, the walls had stains, both inside and outside of the room. Some lights didn't work, the bath was cracked, the toilet seat was disgusting, the sink was cracked and filled with silicone, the bath had no shower curtain and the shower head was rusty.

very disapointing
Pros:

The staff was very accommodating, and the hotel is near the city centre

Cons:

The room was not ready to receive a guest

No cups and spoons

No tv remote

The carpets are dirty and stained, and the bathroom is outdated with cracks.

The first bedroom had water dripping from the ceiling

Calling this a 3-star hotel is offensive to other 3-star hotels
Pros:

Staff were very friendly & helpful

Cons:

The carpets were covered in stains, wrinkled because they were so old and worn and were a hazard.
The fire alarm in one of the rooms was covered over. Stains in the bathroom, furniture chipped and broken, dirty pillows

Clean, fresh comfortable room close to restaurants, coffee shops, buses, and the beach.
Pros:

It was very clean, towels and bedding was fresh and clean, newly decorated and had everything I needed, good storage and decent size bathroom. Bed was reasonably comfortable, the location was superb for my stay, very central in Hove with excellent bus links and walking into Brighton.

Cons:

No mattress cover, but otherwise it was great value for money.

Worst hotel in Brighton
Pros:

Hasn't been updated since the 70s
The room stank
Definitely a smoking room
Carpets were stained and dirty
Bathroom was just awful
No lift
Not even a one star hotel
Should be pulled down and rebuilt
You need to take this hotel off of booking.com immediately

Disappointing
Pros:

The location was ok

Cons:

Got there, went to my room up 6 flights of stairs to find someone in the room, had to go all the way back to get a different room which was ok except the curtains don’t cover the windows properly so it’s light as soon as sun comes up. Even worse there was a power cut in my room which is dangerous as no emergency lighting in there and the hallway and bathroom have no windows so was pitch black, offered to move me to another room but by then I was done with the hotel so left a day early. Definitely wouldn’t go back or recommend to others

El colchón de la habitación 218 es del siglo IXX, INCOMODÍSIMO. La bañera es de los años 70, nada aconsejable para una persona mayor, con una cortinilla redonda muy incómoda a la hora de ducharte
