Pros:

Die Waschküche im Untergeschoss, wo man für wenig Geld seine Kleider waschen und trocken kann. Ausserdem hatte es sogar in den „normalen“ Zimmer ein Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen.

Tilava neljän hengen huone, johon mahtui loistavasti nelihenkinen perhe. Kiva ”onsen” ja pieni punttisali sekä ilmaiset kahvit ja limsat. Aamupala hyvä ja monipuolinen.

Pros:

Sehr sauberes, geräumiges Zimmer. Betten super bequem, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr gute Lage zum Erkunden von Kyōto, Fitness und Onsen Bereich klein, aber sehr gepflegt und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir würden wiederkommen, das Hotel war das Highlight unter den diesjährigen Japan-Hotels.

Cons:

Handtücher für Kopf könnten etwas grösser sein.

העובדים היו מקסימים ודיברו טוב באנגלית

Cons:

בחדרים היה ריח חריג של זיעה, אנחנו ספציפית עברנו 2 חדרים וגם בשני היה עדיין ריח. במקרה שמעתי זוג ישראלים נוספים שדיברו על הריח וזוג תיירים אמריקאים שהייתה להם את אותה הבעיה. חוץ מזה גם שירות הניקיון היה על הפנים וגם מכונות הכביסה לא ייבשו את הבגדים כמו שצריך, וצוות העובדים על דעת עצמם מוציא את הכביסה כשהיא רטובה מאוד בשביל לפנות לאורחים אחרים, אך הם לא מתחשבים בכך שהבגדים מסריחים מהרטיבות.

Beautiful hotel only hindered by location
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful hotel, with fantastic attention and helpfulness from the staff. The room was spacious and really pretty. The onzen was great as well!

Cons:

The location was meh: there's a metro nearby but that doesn't really take you anywhere of note. There's also a bus stop, but again, not very useful. Very few restaurants around. The actual nice/busy areas where everything is is 25-30 minutes of walk away, or a 10-15 minutes bus ride if you manage to catch a bus that goes every half an hour at best.

The mattress and pillows on the beds were far too soft for our taste, but that's pretty minor.

Exceptional
Pros:

There is nothing not to like. This place is dreamy. From the entrance, where you think you are walking into a SPA, to the service, to the level of details inside the room. This is a very special place and I would come back every time

Cons:

The location is very good if you need public transit, but on foot it is a bit far from the main attractions.
