Stunning property with delicious food and an amazing staff.
My only complaint is parking. It’s a bit tricky.
Extremely central and convenient location. VERY PLEASANT atmosphere and good food.

It is quirky but stylish and lives up to its reputation of trying to do the sustainable thing
It was well frequented and breakfast was truly great
Staff were a highlight. Professional yet relaxed and authentic
Room was hot
Fabulous stay at The Bull, beautiful bedroom and lovely friendly staff. The food for our evening meal and breakfast was outstanding. Great choice of dishes and everything we tried was cooked superbly. The waiting staff were also very helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing
Top quality local ingredients, menu covers all bases with a unique twist
Nothing , we love the top quality simplicity of this place .
The food was exceptional, a great choice of menu with so much thought put into it. All the staff were very approachable and knowledgeable and we felt nothing was too much trouble. We were served a lovely meal after being delayed on our return from a day out. Having been told service finished at 2015 the manager ensured we had fresh food prepared by 2100.
I don’t have any negative comments
The location is excellent, and it was very handy being right opposite the pub - meals (and drinks) there were delicious! The apartment is quirkily furnished, the kitchen well equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to be able to sit out on the terrace too. Highly recommended!
The bedrooms facing the front did get very hot in this weather, even with the curtains drawn, so some fans would have been welcome. I had the back bedroom which was relatively cool, although I hadn't thought of that when I chose that room - I just liked the look of the chaise-longue!
The dinner was amazing, we ordered lots of plates which we shared between 4 of us. Excellent use of a wide variety of ingredients, heavy on the veg which I loved.
The breakfast was a little odd in the ordering, so I think you had to choose 1 big and 2 little, or 3 little, something like that. I would have prefered a bit more flex.
Have been planning to visit for a while & The Bull exceeded expectations. Food, staff, bedlinen, decor and eco-friendly ethos all contributed to a wonderful stay.
We messed up on the parking app code and ended up with a parking ticket! Not a fault of The Bull but do be careful.
Lovely comfortable room with good quality natural material bedding, a good choice of teas which were loose and disposable bags supplied to steep the tea in the tea pot or cups. Water also provided as well as coffee. Good bathroom with high quality facilities, I loved the soap too, although not everyone would like it to use in the shower rather than than shower gel etc. Lovely breakfast, nice to have some different options for breakfast and all delicious. The staff were excellent, all very courteous and helpful.
Although it didn’t bother me my brother would have liked a tv in his room but it did say there was only a radio.
Breakfast excellent. Superb homemade marmalade. Helpful, cheerful staff. Good access to Totnes, should you want to wander around the town.
Unfortunately, the weather was very hot and the room terribly ventilated. It's an old pub and needs better methods to control temperature in the bedroom. The room needs a small fridge for storing milk etc. Parking outside the hotel is limited and very restricted to one hour. You need to use the local car parks.
I liked the decor and philosophy of the Inn and its company ethos
The initial greeting and check in process.
Bohemian beautifully decorated with an outstanding seasonal menu and staff. Everything about our stay was sublime, The Bull Inn never disappoints and nor does Totnes. This was our third stay and we are already booked in for our next.
