Parking
Size of room
Clean and new bathroom
The man at the hotel was so lovely and accommodating. I asked for a hairdryer and extra coffees, milk, sugar and he came to deliver them to the room within 5 mins.
Spacious lovely room with everything needed.
Well located, quiet in the evening
Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Great price and lovely new owners .
I am looking forward to what they do to it in the future.
Thankyou
Few minor things
- our windows wouldn't open (it was summer/hot)"
- the snack bar wasnt open when we stayed
- a lot of steps for my friend who had mobility issues (but we knew there weren't any lifts)
We did speak with the lovely new owner who asked our input, which I mentioned eveyrthing.
Lovely place and verry friendly staff
Was verry clean
The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The building itself is a bit grotty. But if you are looking for a convenient pitstop before catching a ferry from Southampton or Portsmouth, it fits the bill. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful.
There is a bit of noise from the road, and the building itself is not appealing. But we got a good night's sleep.
Vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, mooie en nette kamer, uitstekend bed en douche/badkamer. Ziet er aan de buitenzijde wat aftands uit, maar binnen zijn de kamers heel goed!
great views
房间非常干净,工作人员也很友好
A good location near the bridge and river
The walls are very thin, so you can hear other guests from time to time
Value for money
No lift in the hotel, self check in
I met the new owner, really great guy. Couldn't do enough for me. Helpful and welcoming.
The was nothing I really didn't like, it was a reasonable room for a reasonable price
Looked shut when we got there. Had to go round back (pub being renovated by the look of it) but no clear signage. To be honest looked like an abandoned building!
See above comment - looked abandoned
The manager. Very helpful.
It had closed down. Booking.com didnt tell us and failed to put us up in alternative accommodation
This hotel is unsafe our room 10 had the window falling out of its frame, the room was basic, bed was clean, bur s matins everywhere. The double room was actually set up for more with a mattress up against the wall and wardrobe used to store bedding so hung our clothes in the bathroom. To top it off our room door locked and wouldn’t open so stuck in the room. No staff in reception until after lunch we banging on the door and eventually we saw somebody smoking in garden they found a cleaner after trying to help eventually she managed to open it as we were ringing the fire brigade. The outside area is grim, dirty and in need of repair. The front door remains unlocked to the building so anybody can get into the place. The booking wording says view of the city what they meant was city dump as that as our view
Everything
Nothing
When we arrived the hotel was locked up. We knocked on the door & tried to call but got no answer so we never got to stay, but instead had to find an alternative hotel at 8pm. No correspondence & booking.com had to intervene & refund us. Appalling customer service.
