The foyer is beautiful and location very good. Staff very friendly and got served the most delicious tea on arrival. Breakfast was ok but not memorable. The rooftop is lovely but they were playing very loud techno/dance music which seemed unusual at sunset.
Maybe slightly over priced compared to other 5* hotels we stayed in Hanoi. The pool was disappointing. Small which is fine but no where around to relax on a lounger. .
Perfect location in the heart of everything, the most amazing and diligent staff, nice rooftop pool to cool off in
very good location next to the old city. swimming pool at the top floor with a place to rest is incredible. I was also able to work from there. The staff was always nice and ready to help you.

Un havre de paix dans cette ville trépidante. La piscine ou le sky bar permettent de se relaxer à tout moment de la journée car l’hôtel est très bien situé pour rayonner.
Le petit-déjeuner est très varié et permet de très bien démarrer la journée.
Les équipes d’accueil sont formidables et prennent soin de vous en faisant le petit effort supplémentaire pour vous aider.

La gentillesse de l’équipe est le point fort de l’hôtel. Toujours là à votre écoute. Son emplacement est idéal pour découvrir la vie de Hanoï du vieux quartier. Tout y est proche.
Il ne faut pas s’attendre à une grande piscine, elle est la par principe. Je regrette que l’on insiste systématiquement pour payer en espèces même s’il est vrai qu’il y a 5% de supplément par CB, mais compte tenu du coût de la vie, ça n’a pas vraiment d’impact sur votre note. Attention également aux chambres vue ville très bruyantes.
From the very first second until the moment we checked out, we felt incredibly welcome at GM Premium Hotel.
We were greeted with refreshing fruit tea and a lovely welcome treat, and Thom Nguyen took the time to explain everything, making us feel at home from the very beginning.
The Viet Restaurant is beautiful, with an even more breathtaking view over Hanoi. Breakfast is prepared with so much care and offers a great variety of fresh, high-quality food. The rooftop bar is also the perfect place to enjoy a drink while overlooking the city.
I noticed that some reviews mention the rooftop pool being small. While that’s true, it’s completely normal for hotels in the heart of Hanoi. What it may lack in size, it more than makes up for with its stunning view. It was the perfect place to cool down after exploring the city—and every time we went there, we had it entirely to ourselves.
The gym was another pleasant surprise. It is fully air-conditioned and well equipped with treadmills, a stepper, dumbbells up to 15 kg, a chest press machine, exercise mats, fresh towels, and drinking water. It was perfect for getting in a quick workout before or after sightseeing.
The location couldn’t be better. Right in the heart of the Old Quarter, yet still a peaceful place to relax. Most of Hanoi’s main attractions are within easy walking distance.
What truly made this stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional staff—and especially Thom Nguyen.
She went far beyond what you would normally expect from a hotel. Through WhatsApp she shared countless personal recommendations, from the best local food to places we absolutely shouldn’t miss. Every day she checked in to make sure everything was perfect and always asked if there was anything she could do for us.
At one point I even said to my family, “This must be what it feels like to be rich.” 😄 For a brief moment I honestly wondered if Thom had mistaken me for a celebrity!
Everything was Great 🥰
We stayed at the GM for five nights. It’s hard to document how good the stay was. The rooms were fantastic, cleaned exceptionally well by the team every day. The location is fantastic. The food in the restaurant for both breakfast and the paid dinner were sensational and in the vicinity of five stars. The service by the overall team was excellent and the professionalism offered by the staff, specifically Annie, was well above what we expected for the price we paid. Annie went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and even helped us arrange transfers to different areas. The companies she recommended were also 5 star. I’d recommend the hotel for anybody looking to stay in a great location in Hanoi.
Location is central, personnel is very helpful also in organising trips to remote locations, breakfast is ok.
It feels like the hotel is old and needs a refresh. We were told that we were upgraded to a suite however our room was far from being a suite. The swimming pool looked good on pictures but practically was quite poor when seen live.
The hotel is amazing. Ty e bed is so comfortable its feels like sleeping on a cloud. The water pressure in the shower is the best. It’s in the center of the center. Amazing staff , always asking if I’m ok. I loved the pool on the 10th floor and the rooftop bar
The fridge didn’t work quite well
