Pros:

Honestly, the best all-around service I've ever experienced at a hotel. The staff is COMMITTED to making the stay a bespoke experience. Hotel is a great location to walk and explore the city. Awesome breakfast included in room rate with fabulous wait staff. Highly, highly recommend if you are visiting Ljubljana!

Amazing hotel and staff in beautiful Ljubljana
Pros:

The hotel staff met us to accompany us to the hotel. We were provided refreshments during check in. The room had a large balcony overlooking the river. The bathroom was amazing with a huge shower (Roman Key Room). The staff was amazing and so attentive. Old Town Ljubljana was so peaceful and picturesque. The hotel is fully remodeled and well located.

Extraordinarily good service
Pros:

Extraordinarily good service by all members of staff, spectacular breakfast, the most environmentally conscious hotel we have ever been to, very central location with everything a few minutes walk away

The mattress sloped away from the middle so it felt like you were sleeping on a hill. Limited storage space in the room to put your clothes away

Perfect stay

An absolute must for a stay in Ljubjlana
Pros:

This is another of those gems that I would give 10 stars if I could. The rooms are modern, clean, well equipped and we really enjoyed that each had its own back-story (we stayed in the Cheating Baker with its decor to match the story). Our travel companions--two additional couples--enjoyed rooms with equally charming histories.

What makes this hotel so special is the staff. I hesitate to mention names only because I cannot recall all of the wonderful employees who, as a team, exemplify the notion of hospitality. But I will name names, only because excellence deserves recognition whenever possible, so shout out to Jernej, Jake, Nina and Vito, and all their colleagues who did everything possible (and succeeded) in making our stay so memorable. From the minute we arrived (even up on the square where they met us to carry our luggage) we felt completely pampered and cared for. No need went unmet, and every question, concern, request was answered, addressed and satisfied. The attention to detail in our preferences and needs was remarkable.

I don't often comment on food service in hotels, but I must make an exception here. I'm always a little skeptical when a front desk staff recommends its own restaurant as a place to eat, but this staff was so enthusiastic and wonderful we decided to try the hotel's restaurant for dinner our first night. And we are so glad that we listened to the staff. The food was absolutely fantastic, the service just wonderful and the kitchen's interest in entertaining our palates and introducing us to Slovenian cuisine obvious at every turn. Again, our server made sure our needs were met, gave us great suggestions on Slovenian wines to complement our meal selections and also educated us about Slovenian cuisine and culture. Breakfast was similarly tasty and provided us with even more opportunities to appreciate Slovenian cuisine and culture.

The hotel's location is terrific. Located in the old city, we could exit directly onto the main pedestrian thoroughfare. We loved the activity and people watching and were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the area was in the late evening and night.

This hotel is not perfect. Others have noted that the rooms are not enormous. That is true. They are ample, but not huge. Also of note, the hotel does not have a fitness facility although there are a couple of more than adequate places within a five minute walk directions to which the staff carefully detailed. Despite these little imperfections, all six of the very experienced travelers in our group rated this among the best (if not the best) hotel experiences in their lives.

I would return to Ljubjlana just to stay in this hotel again.

Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

A beautifully renovated hotel in a perfect location. We had a room with a balcony and it was wonderful being able to sit outside. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommended and a great introduction to a lovely country. Thank you!
