The location was good. The staff was very nice. Beds were comfortable.
The balcony was not much. It was part of the roof. There was no view.
I loved the location and how beautifully it was decorated.
The beds were very uncomfortable.
Booked an Ocean View Room for 4 nights. The hotel did not explain there is a busy road in front of the hotel with traffic noise starting at 6:00 AM . The ocean is a away on the other side of the road.
The rooms needed updating and has single pane windows.
Nikky of the staff was very understanding as we checked out the next day and moved to another hotel.
Nice hotel, friendly, eff & clean.
Very convenient location.
Room was spacious and had everything we needed.
Augie at the front desk made us feel welcome and gave us a lot of information - 5 star rating for him 😊
Nothing - all good
The sliding glass doors on the shower don't stay closed very well and water tends to get all over the bathroom floor. Only ate breakfast once but the coffee was very weak, sausage burnt, omelet overdone. Finally, I think charging for parking is ridiculous. MOST other hotels, including Hilton properties that I mostly stay in, do NOT charge for parking.
Usually Hilton Garden Inn provides a great experience but not this time. Unfortunately we did not experience the quality we expect from the Hilton brand. We had a number of issues and fortunately we were only in for one night while passing through town.
The grounds and common areas of the hotel were nice and clean.
Check-in was fairly easy although the gentleman checking in at the desk seemed distracted and less interested in us. He slowly got us checked in, but basically handed us our keys and went back to what he was doing. Didn't tell us our room number, point us to the elevators or anything. Obviously we figured it out on our own but not the best first impression for guests.
When we got to our room it smelled like urine and seemed stale. We closed off the bathroom and that seemed to help but didn't completely resolve. The air conditioner unit sounded like a helicopter taking off when it came on so it woke you up throughout the night. And the icing on the cake is the fact that there's an ice maker 12 inches from your room door that dropped ice all night long and it sounded like people were getting ice in your room when they came to fill up. The absolute WORST location of an ice maker l've ever seen. I would not put guests in these rooms and would just simply mark them as unusable.
And lastly, it is crazy to me that they have jumped on the same ‘gouge customers’ bandwagon that many businesses have figured out and that is - let's charge them for parking so we can make more profit. To pay to park at a hotel that isn't in a downtown or metro city area is ridiculous and nothing short of a cheap ploy to line the businesses pockets with extra money. I wouldn't have minded paying to park if I was downtown in the historic or more restricted area of St Augustine but not here.
Sadly when Hilton asked me for feedback I explained all of this and a Hilton Honors made no attempts to set it right. No offer of a discount, no offer of points, just simply said "we're sorry you had a bad experience and we'll talk to maintenance-you shouldn't have had to experience that." Very disappointed in both the hotel and Hilton Honors.
The cleanliness was impeccable.
The location was OK. I wish it would’ve been more of a walking distance to downtown area .
Overall a great stay and price is right!
Nothing
El hotel es todo lujo muy confortable sus habitaciones, el personal nos trato con mucha cortesía y amabilidad, incluyendo el personal de servicio que siempre saludaba, Recomiendo este hotel 100%, Excelente relación Calidad - Precio.
Great tonight hotel stay for our family. They did a great job of taking care of their lifetime Diamond guest. Jerome is the front desk manager, and he is awesome. Super friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were happy.
Easy walk to St. George Street and the historic District with tons of great restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Isabel was great host
Very clean
just entering the premises was beautiful and so clean. the host welcomed us and gave us information about the place. The room was comfy, the pillows and coverings were great, we loved it. Bathroom was nice and modern. i loved the 2nd sink outside the bathroom
we loved it and wished we could have stayed longer
All staff very helpful and engaged, which was not the case for the one member of staff manning reception on our arrival, ‘Jeremiah’ or similar, did not welcome us on arrival, had no words of advice about the services or facilities offered by the hotel and went through the minimal process to register us. On our return after a meal out, he was sat on a customer seating area engaged only on his mobile phone.
My wife raved about the room, cleanliness, breakfast food, staff kindliness and price. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.
Cleanliness and customer service
Cutting of the grass and debris getting on cars
Limpieza y el personal muy profesionales
I DID NOT EAT THE BREAKFAST. THE BUFFET WAS $16 AND LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE THE COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFASTS AT THE OTHER LOCATIONS I HAVE STAYED AT.
