All the facilities weren’t explained to us so we missed out on a few things like the cinema and also the food. I think if it was explained we could have made more of our stay.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Sylhet, and I have been visiting for the last few years, often multiple times during each stay. During my recent visit in June, we booked several rooms, as we usually enjoy staying here.

However, I do feel some improvements are now needed to maintain the hotel’s usual standard. The restaurant was disappointing this time. The quality of the food, particularly from the à la carte lunch and dinner menu, has noticeably dropped compared with previous visits.

On one occasion, our lunch order took over an hour to arrive. We were very hungry, no condiments were provided, and we were not advised that there would be such a long delay. At the very least, the staff could have informed us so we knew what to expect. I did raise this with the front-of-house team, who were very apologetic, but it felt as though the issue was coming from the back end of the operation.

I also feel that, since opening, some of the rooms are starting to look a little aged, particularly the bedding and general room presentation. As this is a hotel I genuinely like and continue to return to, I hope these points are taken constructively and addressed, as it would be a shame for standards to slip.

Overall a good experience!
Pros:

Our destinations that were planned were very close! The location was extremely convenient!

Cons:

We were given the 7th floor! Our only problem was that there was a smell on that floor and the elevator. We stayed 6 days and it was there the whole time!

Great for a quick getaway! Clean and tidy hotel!

After paying one of the higher rates we would’ve expected sauna to be included with the swimming pool but unfortunately there was a further charge for use of sauna which was disappointing.
