Great stay overall, good breakfast at the lost iguana.
We got stopped at the Mistico checkpoint every time before getting to the hotel which was inconvenient, sometime having to wait in long car line before able to pass. We advised the hotel to get guest passes.
The view from the room AND shower was spectacular and part of the main reason I stayed at the lodge, so 10/10 for that. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the lodge location is literally right next to the Mistico hanging bridges park, which I recommend visiting as well.
The lodge is in the rainforest and there is always humidity, so was a distinct smell of mold/mildew in the air in the room, but as long as you kept the AC and fan on, you go nose blind fairly quick.
The property is beautiful and the view of Arenal from our villa was breathtaking. The breakfast at the neighboring property was delicious. We also enjoyed several good dinners at the restaurant. I loved everything about Sangregado and would highly recommend it. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Location was perfect as it felt secluded enough but at the same time Mistico Hanging Bridge was right next door
No bar or restaurant

No ofrece absolutamente nada, todo es fuera del hotel, no hay restaurante sino un bus a una hora específica que te lleva a otro hotel para el desayuno , no hay piscina , ni jacuzi , la TV es sin cable, si como nos pasó empieza a llover te queda encerrado en la habitación porque no hay ningún espacio común un bar on restaurante un espacio donde quedarte
The room was great! Beautiful scenery and views from my balcony. I liked the fact that there was a microwave in the room. Fresh coconut drink as a complimentary welcome.
Giant spider in my room the size of my hand. WiFi wasn't the best, so TV wasn't working. Currently under construction. Long drive to the property.

The quiet, the peaceful sounds of nature, the privacy of our own home, exactly as described on their site but so much better when you experience it! Villa 2 was exceptional for a family of 4, I will definitely be coming here again.
Nothing complaints at all
Waking up in the morning to the view of the volcano through the window and the wildlife out side our door.
The lodge is a long way from La Fortuna. The first day was a challenge, but we took the number of an uber driver and he was on call as needed. As a tip - hire a car for the day and bring cash for taxis in the evening.
Comfortable, spacious and clean suite, incredible views, extraordinary vegetation and wildlife in the surroundings, great location, superb breakfast and friendly staff.
Restaurant is not in the hotel premises
While the hotel is nice with fantastic views, the remoteness and lack of restaurant really hurt the experience. The hotel provides free shuttles for breakfast and dinner, but only during specific, inconvenient times. Additionally the restaurant you are taken to is horrible and overpriced. We could not even get a hamburger served in an hour and a half wait.
Also most tours will not pick up or drop off at this hotel. We paid an additional $65 to be dropped off after a tour. If you don’t have your own car, stay somewhere else
The hotel offers a fantastic view of the volcano and is conveniently located directly opposite the hanging bridges park entrance, which can easily be reached on foot. Free coffee, ice cubes and a large fridge were a nice touch, and the insect screens on the windows allowed us to sleep with fresh air at night.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The room felt musty, poorly furnished, and lacked basic storage space. Some power outlets did not work, housekeeping was inconsistent, and communication at reception was difficult. Breakfast required driving to another location and was OK, while dining options nearby were limited and overpriced.
Construction noise during the day and repeated nighttime power outages, followed by a loud diesel generator, made the stay even less comfortable. Overall, the price-performance ratio was far from acceptable.
