Pros:

Alles was piepklein maar aanwezig. Eigenlijk wel heel charmant. Onder de kamers zit een gezellige pup waar t ontbijt werd geserveerd. Ook kun je hier s' avonds goed eten.

Ouderwetse service en gezelligheid
Pros:

Heerlijke plek. De kamer was heel gezellig en de locatie lekker rustig, maar toch dichtbij de boot. Ook lekker gegeten, sfeer is heel gemoedelijk. Vriendelijke service, ontbijt is speciaal iets eerder voor ons klaargezet vanwege vertrektijd boot.

In a nice part of Dover away from the main drag, that was required for one night. The staff for brilliance, and people drinking in the pub actually very friendly. I really good time and would go back.

Katastrophale Unterkunft
Pros:

Ein kostenloser Parkplatz war vorhanden.

Cons:

Ich habe selten eine so extrem verwahrloste Unterkunft erlebt, wie das Zimmer, was man uns angeboten hat. Der gesamte Aufenthalt war gelinde gesagt katastrophal.

Das kleine Zimmer machte den Eindruck, als hätte man im Dachboden einfach ein Bett reingestellt - und das war es. Überall Ungeziefer, Spinnweben, Staub. Vielleicht ist das Zimmer auch einfach seit langer Zeit nicht mehr vermietet worden. Aber so einen ungemütlichen Zustand habe ich lange nicht erlebt. Dafür war der Preis mit über 150 Euro für die Nacht massiv überteuert.

Dazu kam noch, dass der Code zu unserem Zimmer und dem Hauseingang nicht funktionierte, auch nicht mithilfe des Personals.
Letzteres war allerdings freundlich und bemüht.

Dennoch: Das Royal Oak wird uns tatsächlich nicht mehr wiedersehen.

Sehr schöne Unterlunft für eine Nacht mit kleinen Mängeln. Würden wiederkommen.
Pros:

Ambiente ist klassisch britisch , klein, verwinkelt (positiv), Pub im Erdgeschoss.

Cons:

Zimmer staubig, Zahnpasta-Spritzer der Vorgänger an den Fliesen.

Sehr schönes Zimmer. Zwar klein aber gemütlich. Es fehlte an nichts. Der Pub unten ist ein echtes Plus.

Für eine Übernachtung nach oder vor der Fähre ist es in Ordnung
Pros:

Wir waren auf der Anreise noch Cornwall und 14 Tage später im Royal Oak. Die Zimmer befinden sich direkt im Orts-Pup der sehr gemütlich und gut besucht war. Dort gab es etwas zu essen und auch tolle Getränke.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich. Erst hatten wir ein sehr kleines Zimmer. Für größere Personen nicht geeignet.

Gute Verbindung zum Hafen Dover , aber zu teuer für kleine Zimmer und kleines unpersönliches Frühstü
Pros:

Frühstück war okay , aber sehr unpersönlich und ungemütlich im dunklen Teil des Pubs, man fühlt sich bisschen verloren und allein gelassen und kühl untergebracht in einer Ecke des Abends belebten Pubs.
Gibt auch wenig im Vergleich zu anderen B& B ..z.B Joghurt und Früchte..
