I find this to be deceitful. To sell a room through Booking and be silent about a lack of windows

The place is beautifully decorated

Cons:

I was disappointed with my stay at the Guild House Hotel. The biggest issue was that it was not made clear during booking that this is a completely self-service hotel with no staff on site. After traveling, I expected a more straightforward check-in experience.

The entry process using door codes was confusing, and I ended up waiting outside before I could get into the building. When I needed assistance, responses were not immediate, which made the situation even more stressful.

I was also given incorrect information about parking rates, which was frustrating and affected my planning.

The hotel itself is attractive and the room was nicely designed, but the lack of clear communication and support significantly impacted my experience. I would recommend that the hotel make the self-check-in process, absence of on-site staff, and accurate parking information much more prominent before guests book.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, and great location!
Pros:

Well located, beautifully appointed hotel. Comfortable bed, everything was super clean and getting in to the hotel itself was easy (there is no front desk — you just use a code to get into the hotel and to access your room).

Cons:

There is no public restroom so pre or post check in/out there is no place to use the facilites or change (which I wanted to do before flying but after spending a day in the 102 degree weather!). I changed hunched over in the luggage storage closet, with my son standing outside to run interference! Otherwise, communication via texting was very easy and I was able to get a later check out (but had an evening flight). Thank you! When I am next in Philadelphia I will return!

Hotelik z zewnątrz niepozorny, ale wnętrza robią niesamowite wrażenie. Czułyśmy się z córką jakbyśmy się przeniosły do początków XX wieku. Każdy pokój w innym stylu. Czysto, wszystkie udogodnienia, jakie mogą być potrzebne (żelazko, eksprrs do kawa, kawa, herbata, coś słodkiego, dostęp do mini kuchni, możliwosc pozostawienia bagażu przed zameldowaniem i po).

Cons:

W naszym pokoju nie było okna, tzn było 1 w łazience, ale to naprawde nie przeszkadzało przy calym wystroju nawet dodało charakteru!

The Alice room was the perfect space for me and my 2 friends to share a night. It was a great location
Pros:

The hotel was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I appreciated the lounge and the closets to store luggage. I thought my room (Alice) was very spacious.

Cons:

I had a tiny problem getting a working code for the luggage closet, but luckily someone was available to open it for me.

Awesome experience
Pros:

One of the coolest hotels I've stayed, with historical vibe AND mordern setups, as well as awesome background stories. It feels like we're staying in a museum. The room is incredibly clean and well maintained. We all loved this place.

Cons:

There's no front desk or staff so it took us a while to figure out everything, including getting into the room. Also lack of elevator is understandable yet inconvenient.

A total gem
Pros:

The room was absolutely stunning and I enjoyed getting a taste of the rich history of the guild and its founders. My stay was quiet, clean, and well accommodated. The location made it easy to explore the city and noise was not much of an issue (though light sleepers might benefit from the white noise machine they offer to guests)

Room was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. Everything in the room worked, and there were plenty of towels and other amenities. Location is great, right in a central neighborhood with vibrant nightlife, lots of excellent bars and restaurants.

Cons:

This is an “invisible service” hotel, which was not mentioned on the Booking website- meaning it’s entirely self-service, no staff onsite. I was not made aware of this until after the final payment was charged to my card. If the hotel or Booking had been more transparent, I would have rated the hotel higher, however, I think it’s somewhat overpriced, given that there’s no staff, and I feel deceived; would not stay there again.
