Staff is exceptional. Helpful with everything you need. Great food in hotel restaurant at great prices. Also great location, close to beach, local shops and local restaurants.

The location is amazing, a 2 minute walk to a nearby enclosed beach & a 4 minute walk to Nungwi beach. Plenty of restaurants beach side & shops over a small walking distance. The staff were so helpful & most were incredibly warm & friendly. They provided good attention to gluten free provision, even providing some home made gluten free bread. Cross contamination is a slight issue with the omelettes (gf) & pancakes (not gf) being made on the same cooking surface during busy times. You can request it to be made in the frying pan, specifically for omelettes though, which was great for me to avoid cross contamination. The rest is buffet so I stuck to boiled eggs, to avoid further cross contamination.
The hotel overall is ok, certainly not similar to the lovely pictures provided on booking.com. Our room looked nothing like the pictures, the rooms are old, towels are dubious & could do with some care & the bathrooms have a strange smell - although it did not hinder our stay & didn’t bother us too much as we were only staying for 2 nights. In similar instances, we historically never leave ‘average’ reviews, however, when we checked out we were asked to complete a survey form under the careful watch of 2 staff. The review we left was fair in our opinion, scoring 6/10. We were then questioned by the staff to which we clarified our reasoning, that it was not an overly negative experience, it was just ok. The staff then pointed that we should score them a 9/10, and I should leave a booking.com review now, in front of him with the same score. We declined & left which was not welcomed. This left a sour taste in our mouths leaving the accommodation, as we feel this is dishonest practice leading to misleading information being sold to future customers. The hotel was ok for the price, but there are certainly nicer hotels nearby for a higher price.

This property is marketed as a 4-star hotel, but in reality it falls far below even basic hospitality expectations. The facilities are outdated, poorly maintained, and the overall quality of the accommodation and services is extremely disappointing. WIFI speed reached maximum 3mbps.
The food was one of the biggest letdowns. The complimentary breakfast was of very poor quality, and even food ordered separately was below acceptable standards. Guests should not expect a pleasant dining experience.
Privacy is virtually non-existent. The dining area is directly opposite the rooms, and staff frequently stare into guest rooms, making the stay uncomfortable and intrusive. Basic standards of privacy, etiquette, and professionalism appear to be lacking.
What was most disappointing was the staff's apparent lack of hospitality training and customer service awareness. Interactions felt indifferent and unprofessional throughout the stay.
There are far better options available in the area. I would strongly recommend travellers look elsewhere, even if this property is offered for free.
