Good but not good enough to complete our stay

Good location with great views of the ocean, two separate pools and hot tub as well as a good parking lot.

Cons:

too many niggles for the place to be enjoyed. Starting with the salty tap water that is quite unpleasant. the bed frame creaked all night and the mattress was too soft. The food was just OK but not memorable. Booking.com did not do a through job explaining that I could have chosen a specific room if I had used their website and we ended in the worst room of the entire place with machinery droning all day just above.

Wonderful hotel in La Ventana with a great location
Pros:

Great location, the pools plus hot tub are very nice, good service and right in front of the beach.

Cons:

Our room might be one of the few in the hotel that doesn’t have an ocean view, which is ok and we knew about, but we felt it was a bit overpriced p ce we saw the other rooms. Might be due to the high season which again is entirely comprehensible.

Toilet and bathroom not totally clean. Air-conditioner performance was underwhelming! It had to be set to 17 degrees to be tolerable -so clearly not cooling to 17 degrees C.
