Great small hotel in Williamsburg. An excellent alternative to NYC Hotels

What a cool hotel. Stayed two nights while moving my youngest into their first NYC apt. Very clean and outfitted. However the BEST thing was the staff. They made me feel so welcome and were SO HELPFUL. I will be back.

We had an awesome time. The Penny was great and wonderful location. The front desk and other staff were great. Hotel was comfortable and clean.

We loved our stay at the Penny! We were here for 5 nights for a wedding weekend, and were so comfortable. The room was remarkably quiet, spacious by New York standards, and included a lot of thoughtful extras, like a bathrobe and a kettle and fresh coffee setup. The roof bar / restaurant is amazing as well. We would love to stay here again- having a cool, quiet space at the height of summer in the city made all the difference on our trip! Also, being right in the middle of Williamsburg and near the L/G subway was a perfect home base to get to everything we wanted to do/eat/see.

The hotel was clean, tasteful, and stylish. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. elNico was absolutely fabulous. The food was amazing, the staff was so sweet, and the service was impeccable.

Despite there was a festival celebration outside, I did not hear anything.and slept well

Great location, convenient to shops, restaurants, cafes, etc.; clean rooms, welcoming and friendly staff, and wonderful rooftop views. El Nico has a beautiful setting and the food and drinks delightful.

Everything was top notch. Room was really nice the staff was super friendly and attentive. Even the maintenance team was friendly and helpful. I will be coming back and bringing my wife to share the experience with her. Thanks Penny Staff

The staff at the Penny were wonderful. So welcoming! The hotel is clean and conveniently situated to go into Manhattan or other parts of Brooklyn. We took the ferry to Wall Street and the subway to go other places. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and breakfast spots a short walk away. This is generally the quieter part of Williamsburg, but the festa of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was happening right outside the door, which was great fun. The rooftop bar is also nice, with a lovely view of the Manhattan skyline.

Some of the rooms are probably small and some have a bed pushed against the wall, which is more challenging for 2 people we stayed in a handicapped accessible room, which was large for NYC.

Smallish rooms but nice.hotel. is in a good location. Had no problem finding street parking close by. The only reason I am taking away 1 star is because the employees were not particularly friendly or helpful and the bathroom is so small that it is difficult to maneuver for morning shower. Wish there was a shelf or counter in bathroom to put our stuff!

Great helpful and kind staff. Quite comfortable and clean rooms. The hotel was surrounded by a carnival and we didn’t hear a thing. The decor and art complement the vibe of the hotel. The location was convenient for our itinerary. The Nico rooftop restaurant is a hidden treasure. We loved staying at the Penny
