Our stay at The Pianelle in Matera was truly exceptional and on an entirely different level. Everything about the experience was unforgettable — from the stunning design and atmosphere of the hotel to the impeccable service and attention to detail throughout our stay. Matera itself is one of the most beautiful and fascinating places we have ever visited, full of history, character, and charm around every corner. Staying at The Pianelle made the experience even more magical, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.

There was honestly nothing we did not like. Our entire experience exceeded expectations, and we would have loved to stay even longer.

Ci sono piaciute soprattutto l’atmosfera, la decorazione e la pulizia della camera. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto usufruire degli spazi esterni della struttura a causa della pioggia.

Pros:

It truly exceeded our expectations! Staying at Pianelle was a magical experience. The place is beautiful, spotless, and the design of the sassi cave-style room was absolutely stunning. Every little detail in the apartment made our stay feel special.

The location was perfect, and the communication, attention, and overall service were outstanding from beginning to end. Breakfast was also magnificent. Everything about our stay was simply wonderful — a 20/10 experience!

Could have been top marks with a few tweaks.
Pros:

Central, clean, modern but respectful to the building. Young man on reception was very helpful.

Cons:

The bar was limited, no prices or list, staff uninformed. The drinks bill was put on the wrong room. Shower overflow insufficient so water went across the floor onto the supplied towel which was then soaked and cold for the next person. However I say these things for improvement not complaint.
