Wow, the location, the cleanliness, the comfort
Pros:

I don't think you can get a better location than this! We could see the Church and Giant Rock-church right from our room.
Also, they have a van that brings you from a secure parking garage about a 10 minute drive away right to the front door of the lobby. Materia is mostly stairs (not streets), so most places are much harder to get to with luggage.

I am sensitive to dampness and was concerned that staying in a cave would not suit me, so we requested a room that was "higher up", and got a magnificent room that was in its own little structure above the level of the rest of most of their other rooms. While it had all the charm of being "old", it was renovated so perfectly that it was like new inside, plus, no musty smells, no dampness. The room was very large with a couch and fireplace that we did not need to use. Everything was spotless.

The breakfast room was also clean (no musty smell even at the lower level). The breakfast was more than we expected (in qualify, quantity, and selection.) The staff were very helpful with making dinner reservations for us when we were having a hard time doing so ourselves.

Cons:

nothing. I would go back to this place (and this room) in a heartbeat!

Lovely stay in Matera
Pros:

Lovely stay in Matera in a great area. Very friendly service. Nice rooms, good breakfast. Recommend catching the view of the city from the rocky church. Best view you’ll get and close to the hotel! Also recommend using the hotel’s parking and shuttle service (paid).

Embora os funcionários sejam simpáticos o check inn as 16 horas para ambos os quartos prejudica os viajantes. Como o check out é 11 hs bastaria mais funcionários para dar maia conforto aos hospedes

très bel hôtel bien situé
Pros:

petit déjeuner moyen, mais sinon la chambre est parfaite et l'hôtel est très bien situé

Cons:

on n'a pas été prévenu que c'était une zone ZTL et nous avons accédé en voiture et allons recevoir une amende: Booking pourrait nous avertir aussi
on a cherché pendant 3/4 d'heures l'hôtel car le point GPS n'est pas précis
