Wir sind stocksauer abgereist!!! Nie wieder in diesem Hotel!!!

Das Hotel hat eine versehentliche Doppelbuchung bei zwei unterschiedlichen Anbietern mit den selben Daten der Reisenden im Vorfeld nicht bei uns abgefragt.
Bei Ankunft wurden wir vom Rezeptionisten angelächelt und uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass wir doppelt gebucht haben.
Sie hätten es bereits gewusst.
Sie hätten uns darüber informieren müssen, aber nichts ist im Vorfeld passiert. Bei Abreise haben wir doppelt bezahlt.
Das war reine Abzocke.

Pros:

The hotel was excellent in terms of its location. It was a 5 minute walk on the road to the cathedral and close to restaurants ranging from the Michelin starred to bakeries. I was worried about steps in Matera as I am slightly blind so the fact that this hotel had very few steps was great. The room (quadruple room) was very big and comfortable.
A special mention too for the receptionist, Paolo, who made us feel extremely welcome and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and guided tours.

Cons:

A few more options for breakfast would be great.

​O Pianelle Resort é simplesmente fantástico!
O hotel tem uma localização soberba no Sassi Caveoso, combinando na perfeição a arquitectura histórica da zona com um toque moderno, arejado e de grande qualidade.
O quarto era incrivelmente espaçoso e confortável, com uma casa de banho enorme, moderna e fantástica.
Toda a equipa foi de uma atenção exemplar do início ao fim. O pequeno-almoço era muito bom e o terraço é verdadeiramente esplêndido, oferecendo uma vista privilegiada e inesquecível para a Igreja de Santa Maria d'Idris e a Praça de San Pietro Caveoso. Uma experiência perfeita!

Our stay at Pianelle Resort in Matera was absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of our visit to Matera.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. After a long day of traveling, being greeted with an espresso and cappuccino was exactly what we needed and immediately set the tone for our stay. The service throughout our visit was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful.

One of the most impressive things about Pianelle Resort is the hotel itself. Staying in an ancient building that has been carefully transformed into a modern luxury hotel is a unique experience. The renovation is exceptional—it is obvious that no expense was spared in preserving the character and history of the property while providing every modern comfort you could want.

Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. It had all the modern amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel, along with a surprisingly large bedroom and bathroom. Finding rooms with this much space can be difficult in Italy and throughout Europe, making our accommodations even more impressive.

The rooftop bar at sunset is an absolute must. Sitting above Matera as the sun goes down and the historic city begins to light up is an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to end the day.

The staff also made everything easy. They arranged parking and transportation from the parking garage to the hotel, which was extremely helpful when arriving in Matera. They also provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit, helping us experience more of the city.

We loved our stay at Pianelle Resort. The combination of history, modern luxury, outstanding service, and incredible location makes this a truly special hotel. If you are visiting Matera, Pianelle Resort is a must-stay.
