A perfect stay ! Highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel.
Pros:

What a gem of a find ! We absolutely loved our 2 nights at Pianelle resort in Matera. The hotel is small and has such personality. They thought of every little thing to make our stay perfect. The staff were wonderful - friendly and so helpful.
The little breakfast area / bar area are beautiful ! Breakfast was perfect for a start to the day. Still can't believe we stayed in a cave in the sassi in Matera - what a privilege !!!!

Great short stay in Matera
Pros:

Cave style rooms, large, clean and stylishly appointed with a small lounge space. Nice breakfast and excellent coffee in a lovely setting. Hotel is towards the bottom end of the town and is a great base for exploring the sights of Matera. They offer transfers (luggage and ourselves) from parking area at E15 each way, so we parked our car in secure parking and used that service..it's only a 5minute drive to the parking. If you have packed light and you are willing to deal with the many steps and cobblestones you might not need it. I think it was also fair value for money

Cons:

Nothing of note that we didn't like about our stay.

Great cave luxury accommodation at a high level of comfort and great location
Pros:

The location at Piazza San Pietro is great, amazing view just 10 meters from the hotel. When we entered the room we were just amazed at the fact that this is a cave yet so modern and well designed. The room was super spacious, way larger than we expected. All the facilities were at the highest level and well designed.

Cons:

Transportation. We got a message from the hotel with parking options, the first was very expensive with a total of €50 which seemed a bit much, the second was a public parking and a shuttle operated by the city which we chose to use but the instructions from the hotel weren't great and we couldn't find the shuttle stop, we ended up taking an Uber.

The breakfast was ok but given the level we saw in the room and the facilities we expected a bit more variety.

Comfortable and beautiful location, great staff.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. The location is great for visiting the Sassi and had a lot of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was delicious and offered some local food lile focaccia. The room was very comfortable.
