La posizione ( in centro, accanto a Ballaro') e il palazzo dove si trova l'hotel, che occupa solo in parte, sede per certo periodo del vicere'.

Basic room close to station and old town.
Pros:

Friendly communicative and helpful staff and location close to the station and also within walking of the markets, quattro Canti etc.
The aircon worked quite well.
Good coffee with breakfast.
Left luggage option after checkout.
Ideal location if you are a heavy sleeper who just needs somewhere to sleep whilst exploring the city.

Cons:

The immediate location was a little scummy but walk 100m and all was well. Hotel difficult to find as it occupies part of the first and second floors of an ex-palace. Access via two massive gates and run down courtyard. No lift.
Room was on the small side and very basic. The windows/shutters did not close properly creating noise issues.
Breakfast was quite basic with limited choices.

Beautiful building, historical location but terribile hygiene into the bathroom..
Pros:

Excellent location into a gorgeous historical building, very close to all touristic attractions. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Beautiful breakfast room, with decent availability of food.

Cons:

Hygiene!!! This is a serous problem. The bathroom was dirty and honestly disgusting. The room furniture was cheap low end stuff, but at the end just functional. But the toilet was really a nightmare. The dirt accumulated into shower corners.. shower pipe broken with water going in every direction but not on yourself. Looking like a very low end african toilet. And this for a 120 euros room - night ....it is just unacceptable.
