ロケーションもよく、値段も手頃だった。

旅行先で起こって欲しくないトラブルが起こりました。
今後の注意喚起のために事実を詳しく述べます。
母娘二人、高校一年生の娘の夏休みを過ごすために10泊しました。
チェックインのときに500ドルのデポジットを求められ、クレジットカードを登録したところ、2日ほどのちに身に覚えのない別の請求がこのホテルから2件あり(メールで逐一連絡がきます)、カードを止めて、再発行の手続きをしました。
その後(8日目ぐらい)、チェックアウトが近いしカードを止めてもいるので、デポジットについてフロントで確認したところ「滞在中にタバコのアラームが鳴ったのでデポジットは返せない」と告げられました。
もちろんまったく心当たりはありません。二人とも非喫煙者です。
抗議すると、マネージャーの名刺を渡されてあとはこちらに、と言うのみでした。
その後、何回も電話をし、その度に留守電を残し、メールも送りましたがまったく返信はなく、そのままチェックアウトを迎えました。
チェックアウト時にはキーを返却したのみで、フロントで特に請求について言及がないまま、デポジットの500ドル(＋税)がカードに請求されてしまいました。
帰国後もマネージャーからの連絡はありません。
苦慮した末に、このホテルがマリオット系列であることから、日本のマリオットのカスタマーサービスに連絡してみたところ、しっかり対応する旨の返事をもらい、
その後、初めてマネージャーからの連絡もあり、謝罪→返金という流れになりました。
最終的には当たり前の結果になっただけであり、本当に心が疲れました。

Pros:

Location is actually great, interior design is quite nice. Staffs are helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Size of the king room with city view wasn’t exactly what were promised. Room is extremely small for 2, with no separate shower and toilet.

Extrem kleine Zimmer, kein Schrank bzw. Möglichkeit seine Sachen zu verstauen.

Pros:

Great staff - clean and comfy room - great proximity to subway stations to get any where you need to go. The staff decorated our room for our anniversary and gifted us a free drink each in the bar too. Even when the elevators weren’t working 100%, they did their best to resolve it asap and even had a guy sat in one of them making sure you were able to get to your room quickly still.

Location and amenities are fantastic and very affordable for a new 4-star hotel in NYC
Pros:

The location is fantastic, right on the border of SoHo, East Village, Nolita and LES and moments from two subway stations. This made getting around the city so easy and nothing ever felt too far away for a visit.i also appreciated the $20 credit per day to grab a coffee or danish to go before dashing off.

Cons:

The mattress was a bit on the soft side (which is probably a preference thing) and at check in, the clerk was a bit abrasive with us, didn’t mention any of the facilities we could request, like ice, and when she took our card, didn’t advise that it would put a $50 p/n bond on the room - which as we stayed eleven nights was $550 USD - would have liked the heads up.

A lovely hotel despite the size.
Pros:

This hotel is located on the lower east side very near Little Italy and Chinatown. The room was maintained to a very high standard. The cleanliness of the room could not be faulted. The room did not provide coffee although this was available on the ground floor daily. There was also an excellent coffee and pastry vendor on the premises. Our room had a view right up to Mid-town although only the tops of the skyscrapers were visable. Travel too and from other parts of New York was completed via, bus, train and cab. In peak time the cab was still the best option.

Cons:

As with most hotels in New York square footage in the room was at a premium. There was nowhere to lay down and open our medium suitcases other than on the bed. Less than a metre from the bed to the wall on all sides. The room facilities were small but very useable. The bath sink was in the entry area of the room and had to be taken into account when entering or exiting the room. The facilities were very funky though.

La vista dalla camera, la posizione dell'hotel, l'arredamento.

Cons:

La poca chiarezza su alcuni servizi, per esempio non siamo potuti salire in terrazza nemmeno per fare solo una foto, perché avevamo un minore con noi. Se lo avessi saputo, avrei scelto un altro hotel, poiché la terrazza aveva contribuito notevolmente alla scelta.
Idem per la caparra. Alla reception ti dicono che serve una carta " solo per garanzia" , poi al check out ti ritrovi con 1700 dollari in più, oltre ai 1400 dollari della camera, che la banca ti restituisce dopo un bel po' di settimane. Noi abbiamo fatto un viaggio per tutta la east coast e in tutti gli hotel: da Washington a Boston, dalle Niagara Falls a Philadelphia non abbiamo mai avuto la stessa problematica. Non mi lamento per la caparra in sé, ma perché non mi è stato comunicato prima quale sarebbe stato l'importo e che sarebbe stato anche più elevato della camera da pagare in se. Se lo avessi saputo prima avrei fornito un'altra carta, dato che con la stessa dovevo anche pagare il noleggio auto. Solo questo, un po' di chiarezza.
