A nice building.
Having only Milky coffee. Had to wash personal cups and cutlery in the bathroom.
The room had a wall heater but no instructions as well the table with cooking plate in the dining area but no instructions. Limited use of kitchen.
The check in is very easy, the staff is very friendly and there are plenty of bathrooms and facilities. The massage chair is a nice surprise. It's a little short walk to the main town centre and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafe's to choose from. A handy Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Big W and KMart are all within sight of each other.
It's a little bit old, but I think that's the charm. It's been done up esp the bathrooms, so everything is modern and comfortable. I didn't run into other guests so I was happy.
Comfortable bed and clean bedding. Was enough room for me as a solo traveller with a bunch of luggage. Get the room without massage chair as you will have more floor space. Its cheap for Katoomba, so take my negative feedback with a grain of salt, its fine for a short stay if you can tolerate the other stuff.
Place is random, run down and not very clean. You dont really get shown the facilities, just bathrooms upstairs, and after exploring, there are a few, but the lights dont work. I dont know how often the showers and bathrooms are cleaned, there is soap scum so suspect not often. Floors are pretty dirty. Long term residents live here too and at times you will smell smoke coming from rooms. No dish washing facilities and I did want a clean spoon one morning but they were all still sitting in the "to be cleaned" tray since the day before, so had to ask for one. The only sink I found to wash my hands or face was in my room but its hot only so after a while it it scolding. Toilets dont have working globes, so you sit in the dark. Its also so cold, I dont think the tiny electric heater will do much during winter and showering will be a freezing experience.
But all that being said, its affordable for a room for myself. However they can improve for sure.

Ein offensichtlich historisches Haus („Heritage“) wirkte heruntergewirtschaftet.
Keine Handwaschbecken bei den Toiletten.
Oftmals fehlendes Toilettenpapier.
Einen Tisch/Schreibplatz statt eines „Monster-Massage-Sessels“ hätte ich bevorzugt.
„Dusche“ ist eine Plastik-Kabine, wenn auch mit Mini-Whirlpool und Massage-Düsen; ziemlich desolater Zustand.
Im Nassbereich gruselige Elektroverkabelung (gefährlich!).
Viele Motten, die überall im Haus herumschwirrten; tote Motten auf dem Boden wurden tagelang nicht entfernt.
Einbau-„Kleiderschrank“ ohne Stange für Kleiderbügel; allgemein zu wenig Stau-/Ablageraum für Wäsche und Kleidung.
Keine Heizung (bei nachts 5 / tags 12 C und Regen hätte ich mir das gewünscht…). Handtuch war auch nach 24h noch feucht.
