The hotel is under renovation and it should not be accepting guests. There is a make shift bar where u wait ages for a drink as noone is about. Breakfast at £15.50 was in a makeshift room (with a closed bar) and we were sitting with the builders in high viz having breakfast before they went through the door to work. Absolutely not acceptable!!! Im sure it will be amazing once works are completed but for now it should be closed!!!

De kamer was enorm warm en het ontbijt was erg slecht. Je kreeg een kaartje waarop je moest aanvinken wat je wilde eten. Kleine portie en dus geen buffetvorm.
The hotel is very good value when wanting a basic hotel that has friendly staff, and somewhere to eat and have a drink at the end of a day. The staff were very friendly and helpful on all occasions. The hotel is 1980s/90s styled and room a bit dated, but very clean and everything worked.
I stayed when it was very warm and had an upper floor room on the road side. I had to have the windows open to keep cooler, but the road can be noisy - so did disturb my sleep a bit.

No air con or fans and it was 30 degrees with only a small window.

Our room was incredibly dirty, big thick cobwebs hanging from the lights. The balcony was inch deep in bird droppings, unable to leave balcony door open due to smell. When we complained to reception they said they would clean it but after 2 nights stay it was still the same. The pipes made a loud noise when showering. The second room with our family in was a twin room it was small and the beds terribly uncomfortable squeaking everytime you turned over. The hotel is being renovated and it should not be open for bookings !! I was eating breakfast in a makeshift area at the bar and surrounded by builders having their food before starting work. They should not be eating with paying guests !!! And absolutely terrible stay and would not recommend this hotel while its being renovated.
Staff Friendly
Room was spotless but little dated
There was no communication that lots of building work going on at the hotel and that carpark was like a builders yard
there was also a function on at hotel which didn’t stop till 1am and the room was vibrating from the noise
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy.

First room far too hot window barely opened and no fan - room changed to ground floor much more pleasant temperature but rooms are small
The hotel is currently going through a major refurbishment. The lounge area and bar and dining roomwas make shift. I had a tour round of the place and it will be superb when completed.
However the bedrooms need updating, bathroom with a corner jacuzzi bath which did not work and shower over was not the best. I think a large shower tray would be much better.
Lots of creaky floorboards.. noise heard from the room next door.
The Manager/ Owner extremely helpful and kind. He gave myself and granddaughter a lift to another venue as there were no cabs available. Staff are exceptional and friendly.
The breakfast was good in the morning. Helped offered with cases too. Overall the staff were good and patient with children. Near the town and Motorway.
I would certainly visit again!
No lift, but there is only one floor.
My stay was great, hotel was perfect location for what i required and the breakfast was really good, i would definitely stay here again, room was good size and bed was really great sleep

Handy free parking
shower had dirty hand marks on the wall & the bifold door on the shower wouldn’t stay closed. Creaky floors, a rabbit Warren of dark hallways to get up a few flights of stairs. Hot & stuffy - unable to open the window very much.
Good location, comfy clean room. Good shower pressure. Basic needs fulfilled. (Room 6)
