Good location; ' stylish' interior which will date very quickly; unintelligent policy re baths
Pros:

Comfortable bed; good location. nice decor

Cons:

Value for money. NO BATH- surely this is an essential- not a luxury - only realised after booking that the room (for £169 for one person) had shower only. Not acceptable - I have both at home: why would I accept a lesser standard of comfort at a hotel?
Also- I was booked into a room with connecting door -so poor sound insulation - right next door to a hen party. I asked to be moved, which the receptionist managed to do, luckily

Reception staff were very helpful and the rooms were lovely, well decorated and maintained. Great location too!

Cons:

The bar facilities were a bit hit and miss, closed early and though evening staff were helpful they were inexperienced.

Welcoming, comfortable and a little clostrophobic in bedrooms due to no windows opening.
Pros:

Roof top terrace view. Decor of hotel. Lovely staff.
Good coffee, fresh buffet. Comfortable bed and quality sheets. Value for money in city centre.

Cons:

Can’t open windows., wasn’t informed about this when booking. Had a broken coffee machine. Rooftop bar menu small, unable to have first chosen cocktail due to insufficient stock of item. Cushions very tiered on roof top seating.

Overall a good stay. Exeter is a good place to stay an travel out from.
Pros:

I thought the breakfast at this hotel was good but not brilliant. Choice was limited to mostly 'with eggs', no fish, ie kippers or smoked haddock for example. Still, it was served good and hot and to order. The 'continental' choice was limited, more thought could be given as to variety of choice, little except cheese and ham, croissants etc. I must say the wholemeal bread was of the highest quality. Very tasty!. Great pubs nearby too!.

Cons:

Service in the restaurant was hit and miss according to the day of the week. Sometimes good other times not so. Quality of meals also varied.
